I will launch a new, even more ambitious phase of the campaign Beyond Carbon: a grassroots effort to begin moving America as quickly as possible away from oil and gas and toward a 100 percent clean energy economy, Bloomberg said.

If it doesn't replace coal with nuclear power to spare, it will never work.

The purpose of the Green New Deal was to shift the conversation to what would work and what wouldn’t and away from should we or shouldn’t we.
Conservatives are too dumb to realize they are being walked down the path to comprimise

Funny - from Twitter: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Press Release (parody) @AOCpress PRESS RELEASE: I have pulled my support from the Green New Deal after realizing when we save the planet we would inadvertently be saving Israel.

How do they plan on getting the rest of the world to comply.
Or are they just going to continue to go after the cleanest, least polluting country in the world?

If it doesn't replace coal with nuclear power to spare, it will never work. You could always go with fusion power, of course - that fits the framework exactly. Fusion power is ten years away - and has been since the 1960s. Which pretty much describes the Armageddon stories we hear about Global Warming Climate Change.
Armageddon is always just ten years away.
