Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) rebuked the Trump administration for its response to Hurricane Maria during a rally in Puerto Rico on Tuesday, committing to combat any diversion of federal funding from disaster relief toward building a border wall.

Speaking in San Juan, Warren advocated investigating the federal response to the devastating storm, even calling for the resignation of FEMA director Brock Long. She also advocated a “Marshall Plan” for the territory and an audit of Puerto Rico’s debt, which has mired its government and infrastructure for decades. "I am hear again today to talk about the dignity and respect this island deserves from our government and the cruelty that has been inflicted upon it," said Warren, who announced her bid for the White House by launching an exploratory committee on New Year’s Eve.

I am assuming Fauxhauntas is not talking about three centuries of Spanish colonial rule. If "colonialism" dies hard, how about giving Puerto Rico its independence. VIVA PUERTO RICO LIBRE!!!

Yes, the Trump family has been among the most brutal imposers of colonialism for hundreds of years. That’s why so many colonial hell-holes around the world have “Trump” in their names.

The problem with Puerto Rico is that it is full of Puerto Ricans.

I’m for immediate Puerto Rican independence also. The sooner the better...we really don’t need their population with its majority being ‘RAT wannabes. And no, I realize that a substantial number don’t fit that mold.

Yep, just grant them immediate independence.
Cut them lose.
Then they can print whatever currency they want, and as much as they want.

The problem with that is that where it goes it takes territorial waters with it and also a much larger economic exclusion zone. The question is, what country would gain from it and you will find out who is backing the rats.

Gray Beaver just had a meeting with Carmen Yulin Cruz, the rabidly anti-Trump mayor there, so this rhetoric is really no surprise

“The problem with Puerto Rico is that it is full of Puerto Ricans.”

Yes, and Mainland America is full of them too. Their “star performer” at present is Alexandra Occasional-Kotex. Then of course there were six of the who entered the US House of Representatives in 1954 and shot up the place wounding five Congressmen.
Maybe we should call in Congressman Hank Johnson for an “inspection of the island.” Maybe it can be capsized or at least cut loose from its “moorings” and towed over to the Spanish Coast.
