A short film by Gillette, a manufacturer of mens shaving products, tells men to shun toxic masculinity and the same old excuses for male behavior.
The film, We believe: The Best Men Can Be, posted on the companys Facebook page, begins by referencing Gillettes slogan, The best a man can get, while invoking the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment:
Bullying. The Me, Too movement against sexual harassment. Toxic masculinity is the best a man can get? Is it?
We cant hide from it. Its been going on far too long. We cant laugh it off. Making the same old excuses: Boys will be boys.
The video displays text of three, presumably male, comments:
Everybody hates you, Youre such a loser and Sissy.
Enough is enough, Gillette declares, calling men to speak and act The right way:
But, something finally changed. And there will be no going back.
.
To say the right thing; to act the right way.
Some already are. In ways big and small. But, some is not enough. Because the boys watching today will be the men of tomorrow.

If you were a true soyboy you would shave your private parts too.
;-D
This is one of the reasons I buy BIC disposable razors. Also the fact that they cost1/50th as much as a Gillette blade.
Me too, but the yellow ones in the twelve pack are literally the only thing that works on my beard no matter how long and rough it is. I love my barber straight razor shave, but the cheap yellow bic is way faster and causes much less discomfort than even a straight razor
How about a nice punch in the mouth? Is that sensitive enough?
For the sake of their shareholders I hope they make women’s shaving kits. This is disgusting and drives me away from them.
Sigh - I am old enough to remember when Schick was the conservative razor brand - https://www.nytimes.com/1998/11/09/business/patrick-frawley-jr-75-ex-owner-of-schick.html
I guess hipsters aint shaving enough now a days:-)
But are they masculine? Yes in a feminine kind of way:-)

What a load.
I use a safety razor (not made by Gillette) with amazingly sharp blades from Japan. Pound sand, Gillette.
My guess is that the CEO reasoned he could make more money by pissing off the customer base while shorting the company stock than by working hard to increase value.
Goilette just does not get what is really going on!
I’ll never buy a Gillette product again. Yes,it’s a minuscule gesture but it will make my life simpler to turn my back on a-hole companies.
Send them an email. I just did. I told them to take their “toxic masculinity” video and put it where the sun don’t shine.”
Define “right”. Asking for a friend.
Dumping ALL Gillette products and switching to Harry’s
Women don't make those comments, too?
Obviously another company taken over by women.

BIC should stick to making lighters, their razors tear the heck outta my face. Using a clam shell with Lava soap to shave would be better. I go for some other cheap off-name brand that make for an easier shave.
