She just left, she got very heated and angry with me. We were debating the state of the economy and the effects on minorities and she started spewing vile curse words and invective on Christmas Day.
Wow. Threw the Christmas cake on the ground. She's 35-years old, works in finance in Morristown, NJ and New York City.
I'm perplexed this holiday season. Now, I just want to stay home and just watch TV or something. Should I bring them over again?
Anyway, Merry Christmas.
Pity her..........she’s got a couple screws loose.
Sorry for the language in the clip.
If she does this regularly, no more invites. If a one time thing, maybe next year.
I have made it clear that no one comes into my home and disrespects me, our religious traditions, or our beliefs.
My Jewish-in-laws are welcome to come to Christmas dinner and often do, and they’re always involved at Thanksgiving. My atheist sibling does, too, though we tend to minimize political discussions with that person.
Relatives who have lectured us on being so religious (including on religious holidays), bashed our politics, and just treated me badly - aren’t allowed to come.
WOW !!
I haven't heard that ONE! I heard she threw a $ six figure bottle of Champaign through a Ten Foot flat screen TV !
If someone had secretly videoed this it would be worth millions!
You took too much from them. If you want nothing to do with them have it out right there.
One thought FWIW is to remain kind and patient with your cousin and make the contrast between the two of you obvious to everyone. Your cousin is the impetuous child and you are the confident adult.
On balance the NJ Republicans are either anti-gun or anti-concealed carry, mildly pro-abortion, believe in forced recycling, and like not having to pump gas.
And if THAT isn't bad enough, they LOVE SPRINGSTEEN!!
Whats really going on with you partner
You seemed pretty not happy lately
Just a couple days ago you made this astonishing claim that growing up in the 60s and 70s sucked
Man it was great for me .....I loved it and have almost completely fond recollection in this bittersweet age where friends and family start dying off regularly to be replaced by the new life
You aint angry for nothing
Cheer up
Unfortunately, my response was based on experience. My sister, then in her mid-30’s, professional, made every family gathering a nightmare, even when the rest of us swore off politics and other “triggers” and asked her to. She just wouldn’t quit, and finally had her “cake moment”, which ended with her dragging her suitcase down the street calling for a cab.
Our family gatherings have been much more pleasant since then. Sometimes it’s just not meant to be.
I like Guava. I want to find out if GuavaCheesePuffs are like like potato chips or rainbow unicorns! Real and edible, or a humerous imaginary FR name!
If you think providing succor to filth is a virtue, a joy in life, then you have been severely misled.
Merry Christmas to you and to Jim & to all Freepers here!
Liberals are some of the most miserable people I’ve ever seen.
Personally, I’d let her stew a while (a southern expression) and then maybe extend an olive branch.
Remember, the Savior of the world was born and He, and only He, will straighten out this very this very messed up world.
.
It was an ornament on the cake.
.
I’m guessing bringing up what a goon Abraham Lincoln was is off the table for easter?
You were debating with logic and data, your cousin with emotions and feelings. The cake on the floor was just her emotions running wild.
Don’t ever invite her to anything again. Life is better for you.
Shared values are thicker than blood. Send her a card next Christmas and vote her off.
My in-laws are here for the week.
Both very anti-Trump. I say nothing or even engage on those topics for the sake of domestic tranquility.
Me too.
