Today I am celebrating the 21st anniversary of my 39th birthday.
And as I have heard all my life, Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas.

Do what Mr Kitty and I do - buy our own gifts and give them to the other person to wrap. Then pretend to be surprised when you open it. :-)
A related anecdote: My work in monument inscription in the NY metro area has left me with the impression that more Jews have a Dec 24/25 birth date than do Christians.

My grandson turns 6 on New Years Day. I always felt having a birthday during the holidays is a little unfair.
But its all exciting.
My BD is on Dec. 19....I have spent my whole life with the “Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday” gifting. I think it should be a law that anyone born within two weeks of Christmas gets to choose another day (say mid June or July) to celebrate their birthday.

My niece has a birthday coming up tomorrow, on Christmas Day. My wife’s birthday is Valentine’s Day. Her sister’s birthday is November 24, so her birthday will next be on Thanksgiving in 2022.
I’m just glad I wasn’t born on April 1.
