To those that argue healthy criticism is necessary and do not follow blindly - under normal circumstances I would agree BUT we are at war. And Trump supporters are all Trump has. For 3 years our enemies: DEM, Media and RINO have fought ruthlessly to reduce Trump support among the base (unsuccessfully). Why? Because the base is the only thing protecting Trump. My point is that verbalized criticism is used to weaken the support. Much like being at war and a few solders signaling to the enemy that his team is weak or wounded. It also means, do not lose faith or courage. Together we win, divided we fall.
You have a point. But here on a conservative website, I hope Trump supporters can openly facepalm when he tweets something ridiculous. And cheer when he hits those idiots with their own hypocrisy!
I got what I wanted ... a bull in the china shop. It’s hard to bust things up without collateral damage, so I just shrug and trust the man I helped put in office. People who expect perfection should look in the mirror from time to time.
I agree 99.9%.
For example, I think he has done great with everything except the Sessions appointment.
To me they’re like the moon landing deniers. There is no rational reason for their hatred for Trump, just an agenda which they pursue for no other reason than to perpetuate itself nonsensically.
bump
Thank you!!!!
I am a mild mannered Trump voter and volunteer.
I drive around with a Trump sticker on my car.....just a normal size Trump sticker
Today at the supermarket a woman approached me and started yelling ugly words and demanding to know why I voted for Trump.....
She would not stop yelling, very obviously beyond angry!
This makes me so sad....
She walked away when she saw security coming
You can give Trump a break regarding Sessions. He was the first senator to openly back Trump so it was a gesture of loyalty reward. But Trump should have checked Session’s long career in US Senate. He was NOT a leader type. He has no significant bills sponsored and passed.
I agree. I get fed up with the nitpicking.
What can we do to help POTUS MAGA, I think making an effort to wait for all the facts instead of shooting from the hips and giving him some trust that he is doing the best he can would be a start.
I think too many people see it as a team sport where you blow off steam by yelling at the players. We see through a glass darkly, not knowing what obstacles he faces, what trade-offs he is making to progress down the field.
We don’t know a tiny portion of what he knows of the players and what positions he is setting up, like passing off Syrian intervention to the Saudis.
Commenters don’t see that it hurts to blow off steam but negativity is used by the other side to drive a wedge & weaken POTUS position as well as demoralizing those who read and are easily led into anxiety or anger. Those that make negative comments are often buying the MSM spin hook line & sinker with no filters engaged.
Why is there a tradition of cheering on the home team? Support strengthens people. So sniping at POTUS does the opposite. People seem to think their egos are more important than the Country. Well”that wasn’t nice” “not presidential”. Nice & Presidential got us in a big mess and we need blunt and hard nosed to get us out.
Ask yourself what did Sessions accomplish?
I believe he accomplished quite a lot related to sex trafficking, gang activity, corruption prosecutions, break up of pedophile rings. He has laid the groundwork for a more efficient processing and deportation of illegal aliens. He set up to confiscate & freeze assets of those involved in activities like the Clinton foundation. We may yet see fruit from those seeds he planted.
Sessions did the first tranche of getting the DOJ back on track. There is more to do and a new man in the lead will be able to build on what Sessions did with a new head of steam.
I’m still on board, and I think America deserves a Christmas present, My wish is that President Trump Declassifies Everything FISA and Russia and releases it to the Public on Monday so All of America can Discuss what happened on Christmas when families are together.
I’m a broken glass Trump supporter.
I care more about America as founded, than anything else.
If you think your stupid opinion regarding Trump mannerisms matter, you’re a FOOL!
Get behind this man come hell or high water!
So nice you agree... but.
No buts. Fight.
But here on a conservative website, I hope Trump supporters can openly facepalm when he tweets something ridiculous?
After nearly 60 years of watching Republicans cave and shrink whenever it was time to stand up with their campaign promises, I couldn't care less what Trump tweets. The fact that he is doing, make that DOING, what we have begged Republicans to do all my life makes me cheer.
Reagan did it with humor, successfully. Trump is taking the "Poke their eyes out" approach. Here's hoping he keeps being successful.
He can tweet, "Do Pelosi and Schumer drive to work in the morning or carry their lunch?" It doesn't matter if, at the end of the day, he takes on the swamp with a conservative agenda and wins i.e. drains the swamp.
People need to remember that this massive, endless, delegitimization of Trump is really aimed at us....so I back Trump 100%. He’s taking the beating they wish to give us & will give us if we ever walk away from him.
This is the hill to die on...
I’m inclined to disagree with you for one major reason: this President unfortunately surrounds himself with people who are at odds with returning America to it’s former glory - politically, culturally, and economically.
It is people like us who can keep PDJT on a proper heading; we are the only conservatives that have his ear, no?
But if that’s the case, if it’s really that destructive, I will will refrain as well.
When he tweeted the “Green Acres” video the other day some conservatives thought it was ridiculous, but I applauded it. Not out of blind loyalty but because I thought it showed that the President can laugh at himself.
Just an example of the kind of difference of opinion that some here turn into blood sport. You don’t see democrats doing that as much. When it counts they support their leaders and don’t backstab them or each other like Republicans do.
“when he tweets something ridiculous”
What did he tweet that was ridiculous?
“Get behind this man come hell or high water!”
Yes! I hope he brings Psalmic hell to our domestic enemies: “Break the teeth in their mouths!”
Might as well tear this place up when we have something of an upper hand.
Moe-Patrick, thank you for posting. You are absolutely correct. The healthy criticism psy-op also includes the I support Trump BUT wish he would stop tweeting psy-op. To the contrary, Trumps embarrassing tweets are a large part of his success: he circumvents the media to communicate directly with his supporters; he often bates the media into reporting on his desired topics.
These days, deception so pervades the media (including conservative sites and their comment sections) that the truth boils down to whom you trust or what you can personally verify. Over the past few years, I have been able to personally verify several issues on which Trump was truthful, courageous, and fought for the American people, whereas most media engaged in stomach-turning deception against us. With eyes wide open, I have decided to trust that Trump fights for us and to support him in whatever inherently imperfect means he must employ.
