Bot Creates Hilarious Movie Script After Watching 1000 Hours of Hallmark Christmas Movies

Anyone need a good chuckle? A guy made a bot watch 1000 hours of Hallmark Christmas movies, and then had it write a script. All he shared was page One, and it's pretty funny.

If Hallmark doesn't option the script, this would make an awesome lego movie. A few more lines at the site.

And no zombies. At least in what little I’ve seen.

Well this script won't cut it. The poor widow's husband died in every war. Take that, Nathan Hale.

Agreed.

The Hallmark Christmas movies have the same formula but they’re enjoyable entertainment for those of us who like them and my family of six likes them.

Some of the movies are really slow moving and we joke about how slow moving they are, lol. But we all still watch them every chance we get.

They’re usually happy, feel good movies. Isn’t that what we’ve been clamoring for years? God, Christmas, feel good...except we’re done with the kidney or liver transplant one after seeing it twice. And the Christmas Kiss. Saw that twice this week so we’re good.

I like those movies. Reminds me of my absolute favorite Christmas movie...White Christmas. Heartwarming entertainment.

And that’s why it’s ENTERTAINMENT, not REAL LIFE.

Joke about it all you want but it’s escapism. I get all the real life in my real life and don’t need to see it on TV.

TV and movies are fake. I’ll never understand people who look for reality in non reality. It’s entertainment. To entertain.

I was going to say the same thing. Definitely looks like a bad translation of a script that was awful to begin with.

I tried watching that years ago. Didn’t make it through the whole thing.

Then, after hearing how good “The Goonies” was, I rented it. Only made it about 10 minutes. Maybe it got better later on.

On the other hand, I thought, “Killdozer” was great. I mean, Clint Walker, Robert Urich, the guy from Laredo and a guy who seemed to be doing a Darren McGavin impersonation.

And then a Caterpillar D-9 infected by an alien from a meteor? Well, that’s just some good movie making right there. Do NOT crawl into the corrugated pipe, though.

Haha. Loved that show. It was “mean” humor and so not the PC of today. We need more of shows like that.

Hallmark movies are feel good entertainment. We need more of that rather than everything political. Wish our sitcoms were more like Seinfeld now.Shows like Seinfeld and Friends couldn’t exist today. The jokes would be more PC and there would be a gay or color character and dialogue that comes with that. Seinfeld and Friends were my two fav shows even though back then I only watched live a few times. Saw them in full in syndication years later.

Hard to believe that was 20 years ago. A lot of liberalism in there, but generally enjoyable. I don’t like the early ones so much, but there were a few that were decent.

I never watched it until the mid-1990’s. Basically all the talk around the office.

So, for me, it was basically a “water-cooler show” - though George Costanza would have something to say about that.

Same with “Lost” - ignored it - got tired of it being hyped - then some young guys around the office (different office) were sharing DVD’s. Eventually wound up with too much time on my hands - started binge-watching from about the 3rd season going forward.

Again, it was really ridiculous - but I watched - it was relatively-clean compared to some of the trash today.

This is my favorite scene. I don’t know - it just seems really well-executed. But then, I’m the guy who likes “Killdozer” so......

I never saw the movie, but the original story (written in the 1940s by the great Theodore Sturgeon) is wonderful. (Back then, the bulldozer was a D-7.)
