With Nikki Haley stepping down as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations at the end of the year, President Donald Trump is reportedly considering former Michigan Senate candidate and Iraq War veteran John James to fill the post, according to Bloomberg.

Haley surprisingly announced her resignation in early October, possibly to pursue greater income opportunities in the private sector. Trump praised Haley’s service at the time, and said there were “many names” of potential replacements to consider.

Who is John James? James ran for Senate in Michigan, losing 52 percent to 46 percent against Democratic incumbent Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

James is a West Point graduate and former Army helicopter pilot who served in Iraq and who now owns a supply chain management business in Detroit called James Group International.

Excellent choice. One can’t help but wonder if he could’ve won with more vigorous support from the RNC.

Makes me wonder if he may have “connected” with any of those middle eastern diplomats “relatives” during his tour of duty and poked holes in them.

>>POTUS DJT, excellent choice. You certainly know the hows to find those we so need.<<

JJ does appear to be an excellent choice. I contributed to his campaign several times before the election. That said, since he doesn’t have much of a political track record, I will be praying that he doesn’t disappoint us like Sessions and quite a few of the President’s other appointees have done.

Recidivists, er....incumbents, are returned app. 94% of the time. Voters have a hard time acknowledging mistakes.

I had read somewhere that James only got 4.8% of the black vote in Detroit. Seems a little low, even for Detroit, so there was probably some shenanigans going on.

I think BIGGER things are in store for John James other than SENATOR!! Kind of like Dan BonGenius’s losses!! He is WAY more influential NOW than he would have been in Congress!

James is a superstar in the making. Keep him in the public eye. DJT needs to be grooming his successor for 2024. If not we can rely on the GOP giving us one of their usual POS candidates. Pence will not be the answer.

I’d be surprised if James is nominated as U.N. Ambassador, as he is our best candidate for the Michigan Senate that’s up in 2020. With adequate funding, he’d have a real shot at winning, and would help Trump carry the state.

PS The same is true regarding McSally in Arizona.

The number of Muslims in the Detroit area is overwhelming.

Americans who really care about this country are being given plenty of warning signs about what faces them if they don’t take a hard stand & support Trump.

Because the single-issue marijuana voters heard about legalization on the ballot, so they went out to vote. That’s how we lost the Governorship too.

Great Choice.

I supported John, preferring him to any GOPer in my own state during the mid terms.

And, as I do not hold much stake in the U.N. in the first place, I’d be happy enough with the fact that it would help John obtain the public notice he deserves, and maybe in six years he can go back and take the Senate seat from Debbie Stabenow.

That is a good point.

There really is not any particular congressman or senator who is effective.

The most effective senator that we’ve even had recently is... Lindsey Graham. So, good work Lindsey, but all of you guys generally suck all the time.

James has leadership ability. That is rare.

Hook the man up, Mr. Trump, he’s good.

The conquering ideology of islam is being purposely introduced to the peaceful ideology of Christianity.

It will be like malignant cancer.

It’s just a matter of time.

The federal government is purposely trying to change the population of America, and so far they are succeeding.
