McDonald's is hoping a big new breakfast sandwich will help bring in more customers.
Triple Breakfast Stacks will hit menus on November 1. They're modified versions of McDonald's popular Egg McMuffin -- they will include two slices of American cheese, two sausage patties, bacon and an egg, The sandwiches are available on a McMuffin, biscuit, or McGriddles cakes.
The new items are designed to help McDonald's solve a problem: Fewer Americans are eating at the fast food chain. A new breakfast could help bring them back.
In a statement on Tuesday, the company said that the items are inspired by customized orders made by McDonald's (MCD) customers.
"People have been hacking our menu for years," said Mike Haracz, manager of culinary innovation. The triple stacks were inspired by those orders, he said. Linda VanGosen, vice president of menu innovation, said that customers have been requesting bigger sandwiches for breakfast.
McDonald's teased the announcement earlier on Tuesday during a call discussing its third quarter earnings.
Breakfast has been particularly challenging for McDonald's....

“Seems like before they started all this crap about health, salt, fat and cholesterol that we were all healthier and food tasted better.”

Califreak,
You’re correct! And it wasn’t because we were younger! I miss the older style food!
“Can spend an hour in Bed Bath & Beyond, and Ill try various things and report back to my office colleagues.”

My beloved is a real fan of that place! I actually have to ask ahead of time for him to PLEASE let me know when we get a coupon from them in the mail. LOL
He can wander around in that store and find stuff that I would never think to look at and bring home.
We have so many kitchen gadgets from them. Yesterday morning we picked up the thing that helps you reach into the corners to dust and do ceiling fans. Cannot remember what it’s called. LOL That was actually something that I wanted to pick up. LOL
He was mentioning how they haven’t got their Men Toys yet for the Christmas season. He says men ‘hunt,’ for values when women ‘browse.’ I really think when it comes to that store it’s true. Matter of fact that’s the place we purchased our current McMuffin cooking thing. LOL
Yes they are.
yeah me too Laz. I’ve been diagnosed with a mild heart condition. I figure maybe a year , year and half of chowing down on those things and I’ll be ready for the Big Round Up in the sky.
Hah!
Pro tip. Keep ALL of those 20% off coupons. Bring the whole stack with you. They’ll scan them all. You can save beau coup.
They don’t care about the expiry date - the coupons are always still good.
Very nice place. I love Bed Bath & Beyond.

The dog knew his stomach didn’t like anything that smelled of cheese.

Thank you, KitJ, for the advice!
I tried the Burger King version of this with the sour dough bread that came out a couple of months ago, it tasted good but was definitely for eating in the restaurant and not while driving. I miss the Bojangles sausage & egg biscuits and their plain biscuits since I’ve moved.
Bump for later.
Good news! McDonald’s does not
use MSG in any of it’s products.
Uh, did the say how much $ ?
I like a lot of fast food - but have to be careful because even a breakfast can have more calories than I should eat in a day....
I missed that announcement.
If so, a step back in the right direction.
Easy way to make gravy: brown the sausage and cook through. Sprinkle flour on top and stir. Slowly add milk while stirring. Theres your roux!
Wow, can you imagine eating all your days allowed calories in 10 bites? If Im going to do that, I will select Krispy Kream Donuts instead !
Schwan’s (the delivery service) are very good.
McDonald's (symbol: MCD) has bounced back nicely during the Trump presidency. Looks like they're trying to stay ahead of the game. I'd suspect that their margins on breakfast meals are lower. BTW, the only thing they serve (on their entire menu) that I like are the McGriddles.
I have a question that’s somewhat almost nearly on topic.
Why is a burger and fries bad for a body but a plate of meatloaf with a side of mashed potatoes and a dinner roll is good for a body?
