Did Jane Mayer, Ronan Farrow, and Michael Avenatti give Trump his biggest victory yet?
The Washington Examiner ^ | October 7, 2018 | Byron York

A lack of contemporaneous evidence was always the greatest weakness of Christine Blasey Ford's allegation that at a high school party in 1982 — 36 years ago, when she was 15 years old — a drunken 17 year-old Brett Kavanaugh forced her onto a bed, tried to undress her, and, when she tried to scream, covered her mouth with his hand.

But the second biggest weakness in Ford's story was that it did not appear to fit into any pattern. There were no other allegations that Kavanaugh had done anything similar to anyone else. In the notorious #MeToo cases of the past year — which all involved powerful adult men, like Harvey Weinstein and Matt Lauer and Charlie Rose, and not adolescents like the Kavanaugh of 1982 — the man abused a number of women. It was not something he did just once and then stopped.

But in the case of Kavanaugh, Ford stood alone. Alone, that is, until two stars of the New Yorker — Ronan Farrow, who wrote key exposes of the #MeToo scandal, and Jane Mayer, who was attacking Republican Supreme Court nominees when Farrow was in grade school — published the story of Deborah Ramirez. Ramirez claimed that sometime during the 1983-1984 academic year at Yale, when both she and Kavanaugh were 18 year-old freshmen, there was a small dorm-room party at which Ramirez — drunk, 'on the floor, foggy and slurring her words' — remembered Kavanaugh exposing himself to her.

Ramirez admitted that there were "gaps" in her memory because of drinking. And she suggested that as recently as a few weeks earlier she barely remembered the alleged incident, if at all. It was only after "six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney" that she recovered enough recollections....

I do not think Justice Kavannau will bring a suit against Ford but he damn well should. With no proof and what she did to his family is ridiculous and I believe she is a liar and the Democrats are Evil.

I feel like everything has multiple layers and there is a whole lot going on that we don’t know.

Maybe it’s just Democrats being over-confident and arrogant, thinking they can accuse someone of serial gang rapes, with no evidence and thinking “of course everyone will believe me. I’ll go on TV and say it’s true. No one would dare doubt me. Maybe I’ll say space aliens were involved. They’d believe that too, those idiots.”

Maybe they bet the house on a pair of two’s.

They need to be investigated for any possible crimes associated with their attempted fraud.

Even the New Yorker wouldn’t touch the Julie Swetnick nonsense.

Avenatti is like Dan Rather and Mary Mapes in 2004, a godsend.

At some point liberals were arguing that the Killian “Documents” were a Republican plant. Look for accusations that Trump operatives were behind the Swetnick accusations.

The Ford testimony was fabricated so that no facts could trip them up. From there they insured that the testimony would be based on emotional appeal and that spawned the demeanor, little girl voice and the chicken scratch letter. It was all lies an an act. The witness james were taken from a book. Her FBI friend assisted in this fraud.

There are some really sick people in our midst. I saw for a few seconds (all I could stand) a protest on TV about noon or so today, some bimbo who was reading from her phone what I thought must be her own story about sexual abuse and it turned out she was reading junk she had received from others. These people spout anything they see/hear that fits their program and they don’t have a clue what is factual. Before I turned the channel, she said that if women belonged to families where sexual abuse did not take place, they’d been lied to!!! How’s that for a blanket statement? Are these women really that dumb? We need a sterilization program in this country fast!

Ronan Farrow has damaged his Brand by becoming so deeply involved in this painful charade. His reporting of the 2nd accuser was weak, flabby and shallow. I suspect partisanship of Ronan and his mom Mia, caused him to become careless and rushed. Anyone who can be directly linked to Avenatti may want to reconsider their career options, at least for a few years.

The answer is YES. The three stooges named in the headline made everyone realize that people were ganging up on Kavanaugh with no credible evidence and ran the anti-K bandwagon off the cliff. So glad they over-reached.

Perhaps not Ford but her lawyers and democrat special interest groups and congressional staffers should be fair game.

Heck, Ford should sue Feinstein’s office for the breach of trust.

I should add Farrow, CPL (creepy porn lawyer) and others who were pushing or profiting from throwing ridiculous allegations.

Seems like when they are all over TV destroying your character that should fall under libel.

Overreach. The curse of the arrogant and uncompromising people all over the world.

There was a book on popular psychology, by Erick Berne, back in the 1970’s or so, “Games People Play”.

One of the games was “Now I Got You, You SOB”. Used to justify anger that has built up over an extended time period. The aggressor (usually unconsciously) identifies their victim, sets up a trap and springs it as a form of getting even or gaining perceived power.

But sometimes the trap is sprung just a little too early, and the game is revealed, and ends up in a game of “Kick Me”, rebounding on the original perpetrator in a way that is both devastating and for a short time, ends the game.

The game “Kick Me” has its own rules. Played by people whose social manner invites them to be kicked. If people will not kick them, they will behave more and more provocatively until they have exceeded the limits, thereby forcing them to oblige. The jilted, the job losers, the rejected.

Some 95% of all the personal woe in the world is self-induced. Most of the rest comes from getting in the way of somebody else’s temper tantrum.

It’s worked in the past so of course the dems will both think that it’s going to work again, and use it.

Their problem is now Trump is president and Kavanaugh is squeaky clean and both men are much more of a fighter than they bargined for.

McCain’s death was timely, otherwise Graham would not have blind sided them with his dramatic increase in manhood.
