Here's a torture test conducted by Youtuber Eric of IraQVeteran8888. He takes an informal approach on this SCCY CPX-2 9mm pistol and runs it through his series of torture test.
those not familiar with the CPX-2 pistol is a double-action with 9-pound trigger pull.
The grip and frame is made from Zytel polymer with ergonomic finger grooves and an integral "Re-Coil Cushion" on the back-strap. Here are some of the things that was done to this pistol:
DO NOT get the version with the safety. That serves NO purpose on a double-action only pistol.
Tried mine Wednesday on a local 10 shot combat/target/room-clearing demonstration course.
Maxed it.
Even got the last “bad guy” right between the eyes and saved the “girl hostage”.
Too bad a previous shooter shot her in the throat and she was already dead. Oh, well...............
How long have You had Yours ?
Do You have any trouble with loading the Mags ?
Got the Wife one brand new for Her Birthday. Both Mags a very hard to load unless We use an Assist Loader. Also the Slide Spring is very hard on it. It’s all I can do to rack the Slide. I do have some problems with My grip due to Medical reasons. It is VERY hard for Her to Rack it.
Poor little Girl, she was just studying Quantum Physics.
Do You have a CPX-2 ?
We didn’t know until after We got Hers that it has a Lifetime Repair and Replace Warranty.
It’s a bit small framed for Me but Mama likes it.
Anyone else have comments, info or stories ?
” Its all I can do to rack the Slide.”
Have a ‘similar problem’ with my Carlo Rossi Burgundy jugs lately....LOL...
I broke the firing pin on my cpx1, called SCCY, and got a replacement slide in less than a week: It’s a GREAT guarantee!

Look into one of these, it is crazy easy to rack the slide.
I only buy guns that everyone claims suck..... recent quest in the “this gun sucks club” was a Sig 365 . It sucks because I can’t make it suck like everybody else get it to suck . 2000 plus rounds of assorted fodder down range later and it still won’t suck. This sucks !
I’ve got one of these. Works fine. Shoots, ejects, no problems. Only gripe I have is the trigger pull is too much. It should be lighter like a S&W DA Revolver.
with stiff mag springs like that it has to have a stronger recoil spring to strip a round from the mag
heh heh heh heh... too funny
LOL!
Don’t think I’ve ever had one that sucks. Some are better than others though.
My onus is expecting good information or life lessons from one out of every million you tubers at the very least. They give they’re own opinions be they right, wrong or WTF ? Unlike polidiots , presstitutes and the SAG card carrying professional liars that prostitute themselves for pieces of silver. Even the self made subject matter experts on yew toob throw they’re own guns into mud, dirt, sand, KY jelly, and concrete versus the other groups who use fall guys, pawns and stunt doubles ..... I’ve lived around and carried some form of firearm or projectile projector almost my entire life. I love to study small arms and my career in Military EOD forced me to expand that love of “things” that can hurt me along the lines chemical, biological, conventional, nuclear, improvised or not get shot implements of death and destruction .........
Every variant of small arms has its purpose . Some are very less reliable than others and that is where the individual must review, read, rent at a range and or run at least 500 rounds through the pew pew they plan to carry for self defense.
My experience / opinion ........ hope ya’ll are staying safe !
100%
LOL, maybe You should try using a Vacuum Chamber. Must a Brain Cart.
Well they definitely got that covered. The first time I did it I had to check the box and manual to make sure I wasn’t cocking a 105 Howitzer.
Maybe it will loosen up after a few Thousand rounds get run through it.
