I could be wrong about this.
Over the last couple of days, Donald Trump has been very critical of Jeff Sessions.
President Trump criticized Attorney General Jeff Sessions in an interview broadcast early Thursday, saying he never took control of the Justice Department."Today Sessions pushed backThe Dems are very strong in the Justice Department," Trump said on Fox & Friends. "And I put in an attorney general that never took control of the Justice Department, Jeff Sessions. Never took control of the Justice Department.
Its sort of an incredible thing, he added.
We have this country going so well, Trump said, adding that [Secretary of State] Mike Pompeo is doing incredibly, all of my people, theyre doing incredibly.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired back against President Donald Trump on Thursday, saying the Justice Department will not be "improperly influenced by political considerations." Earlier, Trump attacked him on television, asking "what kind of a man is this?"Then Lindsey Graham said he'd support replacing Jeff Sessions:"I took control of the Department of Justice the day I was sworn in, which is why we have had unprecedented success at effectuating the President's agenda," Sessions said in the statement, which was posted on Twitter by Justice Department spokesperson Sarah Isgur Flores.
During an interview that aired hours earlier on "Fox & Friends," Trump said Sessions "never took control of the Justice Department," criticizing the former Alabama senator for recusing himself from the investigation into possible links between Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Thursday he believes President Trump will name a new attorney general "sooner rather than later" in his first term. Also today Sessions met with Trump:Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, Graham said Trump is "entitled to an attorney general he has faith in," but said it'd be a "nonstarter" in the Senate for Trump to try to replace Jeff Sessions before the midterms.
"The idea of having a new attorney general in the first term of President Trump's administration, I think is very likely," said Graham.
Trump lashed out at Sessions once again in a "Fox & Friends" exclusive interview, criticizing the former Alabama senator for recusing himself from the Russia investigation, now overseen by his top deputy, Rod Rosenstein.
President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions played nice during a meeting Thursday afternoon in the Oval Office, despite fighting publicly just hours earlier about how the former Republican senator has performed at his job atop the Justice Department. It was suggested that Trump might fire Sessions after the mid terms. One source described the meeting as a "win" to the Washington Examiner. The meeting, which was about criminal justice reform, stayed on topic, the source said.
The meeting with White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, and White House communications director Mercedes Schlapp was pre-planned, but came hours after Trump told Fox News early Thursday morning that Sessions "never took control of the Justice Department."
Hmm.
Sessions has at least 27 leak investigations ongoing. Thus far (that we know of) they've bagged Reality Winner and James Wolfe. Wolfe is thought to have shared the entire unredacted Carter Page FISA app with NY Times reporter Ali Watkins. You will note that the unredacted version of the FISA app has not been leaked, most likely because it would be the proverbial stake through the heart of the Russian hoax.
Trump just might fire Sessions, which would free him to appoint someone new who would not be recused from the Russian hoax, but pretty much anyone Trump chose would be stonewalled by democrats (and Jeff Flake) for who knows how long.
Thing is, Trump knows everything. He's the President. He can know everything. As I have previously noted, Trump thrives on chaos. He will have people chasing their tails in one direction while he gets other things done. While the left plays checkers, Trump is playing chess.
I think if Trump was really going to fire Sessions, he wouldn't be making a lot of noises about it.No, I suspect something else is afoot. While Sessions has rebuffed calls for another Special Counsel, he has John Huber. And Huber's working with the IG.

Dr. John has been reading the Q claims, which I think are disinformation from the Left.
If this is all a setup by Trump and Sessions it has to be timed for the midterms. So, we’ll know soon.
I get so sick of this crap.
Re: “While the left plays checkers, Trump is playing chess.”
LOL.
If there really is an “October Surprise,” who is going to publicize it?
Except for Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and Free Republic, no one else will even cover the story.
This stuff is just too "in-your-face", and it baits the idiots on the other side endlessly.
Is there a long term (prior to Trump getting into the race) relationship between Mueller and Sessions? That might answer a lot of questions.
This was a very long winded explanation as to why this author thinks there will be indictments in late October.
Yeah...right.
If there are ‘indictments in late October’ it may be more republicans getting speared by Mueller, with Sessions continuing to sit quietly and twiddle his thumbs while staring out of his office window.
An outlook justified by a lot wishful thinking and not much of anything else.
The reality is, if Mueller does as he has indicated and starts destroying everyone associated with Trump in order to get them to perjure themselves so he can execute the coup, patriots will have to make some hard decisions.
If there is an October surprise, it won’t be because of Sessions.
It will be because of Trump. That I am certain of.
Sessions days are numbered anyway.
Mueller gets turned into a Pinata
Holy moly folks what crap are you smoking? Do you for one minute think that Trump and his family would be willing to go through all this Hell for a 3-D chess crap game? Please give me a break! Sessions from the beginning has been a plant their ACE in the hole in other words their “insurance policy”! Because of him recusing himself without consulting with the president first the TRUMP family are going through EFFIN HELL 24/7 none stop !!! ! RINO SESSIONS IS A POS EVIL BACKSTABBING SWAMP DWELLER WEASEL!! SO EFFIN SESSIONS WHY AREN’T you investigated crooked Hitlery??? AND WHY WAS IWAN set free...NO THIS POS IS part of the stinking EFFIN SWAMP!! Remember he denied trump and us a second special council to investigate all Hitlery’s shenanigans...this SOB IS the OBSTACLE that is clogging up the FILTHY swamp from draining!!
Trump is already considered biased in all of this - he has now “encouraged Sessions to go after his political enemies.”
Sessions has ignored the request and stated that his department won’t be “politicized.”
This is all in public, not private (like an employer/employee discussion).
Sessions can now drop a hammer (if such a thing exists) on anyone without appearing biased.
Knowing Trump, I’m betting that this is a set up.
We’ll see.
Who is Lonnie? ROFL
Trust the plan.
I’m more and more convinced that Deep State operatives got to Sessions and either threatened to expose something he or a close family member has done. The deal was that in return for silence, Sessions would recuse himself on Russia and publically defend the DOJ Deep State at every turn. He would be allowed his pet agenda prosecutions to keep up appearances, but Rosenstein would effectively call all of the shots. Sessions is so obviously compromised it makes me sick. Who knows what dirt they have on Sessions...maybe they got him on a Hastert.
There hasn’t been an October surprise in 20+ years. I doubt we’ll get on now, either.
What more do you need?
I believe the Deep State scandals are too big for Jeff Sessions, but I don’t believe that he’s working for the Deep State against President Trump.
From what I’m hearing from those who know him personally is that he’s not grasping the seriousness of the corruption at the DOJ & FBI.
He has a Pollyanna-ish attitude that everyone there is basically good and wants to protect the institutions more than clean them out.
