On The Daily Show With Trevor Noah, Omarosa Manigault Newman made sure to tread lightly when speaking of recordings she made during the Trump campaign and her time at the White House regarding racial epithets, among other things. Omarosa has been very open recently talking about why she made the tapes, citing widespread corruption throughout the administration while promoting her new book, Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.
Besides promoting the book, Omarosa has also been releasing bits of her recordings, and in turn, Trump has been releasing tweets, calling her a “crazed, crying lowlife” and a “dog.” And though Trump will be free to tweet all he wants, Omarosa, in light of legal action taken against her by the Trump Campaign, is now being careful with what she divulges. When Noah asked why she felt the need to make the recordings, Omarosa responded, “Well, I have to be very careful because, as of today, Donald Trump has decided to sue me, or bring litigation against me to silence me and to not allow me to tell my story.” She added that she has a whole host of lawyers telling her not to give Trump any ammunition....

Unauthorized recordings from inside a secured facility (the White House) should be grounds for prosecution and jail terms - after Omarosa has been bankrupted by the civil suits.
It won’t happen.
You see, nobody’s ever put classified material on an unsecure server, violate pretty much every security measure demanded to access classified material, had it hacked by bad guys, and gone to jail.
Naw, if anything a 30-day suspended jail sentence & probation.

Everyone has hated Omarosa from her days on The Apprentice so I am surprised Trump has ever given her any help at all. BTW, I have never watched The Apprentice but I remember the scuttlebutt back in the day with everyone saying how much they despised Omarosa.
All that said, I think she has met her match in Trump. He punches back.
Whether or not Trump has a solid case against her, he has the power to ensnare her in legal problems for years to come. She is about to be brought back down to earth.
In fact, that may have been Trump's aim all along.
To give Omarosa a chance to mend her ways and make good...or get her comeuppance delivered personally by the President's team.

Ab-so-f***in-lutely. Why, there are any number of thousands of people who routinely record other people without their knowledge in a highly-secure SCIF location like the Situation Room. It's SO not a felony. In fact, I'm pretty sure medals and cash awards are handed out for this sort of stuff.

one thing that Omarosa let slip today by releasing a campaign tape - she was recording people from the git-go, not just since she was hired for the WH.
