"I felt at that point I had to use lethal force"
The still anonymous Oregon State Police SWAT Trooper ("Officer 1") testifies at FBI Agent trial 7/30/2018 in Portland.
"Officer 1" (also described in the past as "Trooper 1") took the stand at the trial of FBI Agent W. Joseph Astarita in Portland today. "Officer 2" (he has been called "Trooper 2") also testified.
"Officer 1" described his involvement in the killing of LaVoy Finicum and had to face the cross-examination from Astarita's legal team which contended that he was likely the person who fired the two shots that Astarita did as the prosecution asserts.
Agent Astarita is accused of lying about firing the two shots.....

Let me guess. “Officer 1”, in SWAT gear, several yards away, feared for his life when he shot Levoy in the back.
As he described it, the trooper saw LaVoy Finicum reach for his torso several times and he said that when LaVoy reached for the third time it looked like he was going into his jacket pocket and was going to pull out a pistol and fire on himself and Trooper Pollard.
Then "Officer 1" the OSP SWAT trooper fired two shots at LaVoy Finicum and hit him in the center of his back.

Back-shooter = cowardly murderer.
Just more evidence this was a planned assassination.
Officer 1 just set himself up for a promotion in the FBI, if the pattern of the Waco Massacre and Ruby Ridge are followed.
Let’s see how the Gestapo will justify as self defense a shooting in the back.
There was a case in Minneapolis where a LEO shot a fleeing suspect in the back as the suspect reached for his firearm while he was running away. I don’t think that happened here.
Looks like a good case for premeditated murder.
Both officers that each shot LaVoy Finicum in the back stated that they were working to insure the safety of all the other officers in the ambush team, not specifically themselves.
The killing of Lavoy Finicum in this way has already been deemed “justified” by the state.
The two officers that fired the killing shots into Lavoy Finicum’s back at close range were Oregon State Police under the advisement of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team.
“If only (fill in the blank) had obeyed the police officer’s commands then he/she would be alive today.” How many times have we heard that?
Yup. Lot of that going around.
Happens all to frequently. The latest was that guy in Pittsburgh last month.
So, the Feds get a license to kill. Nice.

Well, he was armed, he did flee from the vehicle and refused to follow orders, and you can clearly see in the video he keeps moving and refusing to keeps his hands up and out of his pockets. I really can’t fathom why so many people seem to think a person wouldn’t get rightfully shot by police in that situation.
You probably cant fathom the controlling legal authority in the state setting up an illegal ambush around a blind curve to force an intentionally flushed suspect into the ditch either. Or the OSP refusing to ID themselves behind masks and firing on both vehicles without provocation at the “initial stop”.
What about maybe one of the members of the FBI Hostage Rescue Teams firing upon the still moving truck with no “hostages” in it, and then lying about it on his report? Can you at least fathom that?
