In my last three years of working in the UAE/ME, I have talked with many of the “guest” workers there. Over 90% say they would love to be able to live and work in the USA and the main reason is “freedom”. No kneeling required. Anyhoo, just my observation.
Mississippi has many successful Indians.....doctors, pharmacists, scientists, & owners of many nice and well run hotels.
They work hard and value education. Priorities.

It seems that every hotels I’ve been in over the last few years has been run by an Indian. What is it with Indians and hotels?
It’s a pretty easy business to get into and run, especially on the low end and the family can live there so there’s no rent to pay.
Good point. In most cases, I’ve seen young children playing behind the front desk.
These are and hve been for centuries, a trading community. Very close-knit with kids working in the family business, very hard working and good at business
And even more so most are owned by a sub-group/clan called the "Patels" which is also their surname
Their modus operandi is simple - work 12-16 hours at everything. Put friendly service and have family members help out.
This way they can earn mroe than anyone else in the business
