Anyone know what it feels like to be told you will be shot one by one?
Absolutely. I prayed as I often do.

Things like this remind me of that lyric “And I’m telling you son, Well, it ain’t no fun. Staring straight down a forty-four”
As a youth had a gun pointed at my face by a railroad cop (we were horsing around by the train trestle, he thought we were up to something). I can still remember what the inside of that gun barrel looked like.
Wow. What an experience. So happy you are ok. Very scary and understandable you moved elsewhere at some point.
Imagine this.
You’re on a blanket on the beach with shade over you on a perfectly calm day. You hear the waves. They’re smaller than usual and more quiet. You hear the seagulls.

I just looked at my other phone and my friends who live near there sent me some pics titled “meanwhile in Los Feliz” with pics of the sign with Trader Joe’s and Magpies and pics of a pretty skinny latino girl being interviewed and pointing at something and a pic of the busted up black car.....at 8:21 tonight

Hand gun. He ran into the store shooting. I had finished paying and was about to turn the cart to go to the parking lot. I heard between 2 to 4 shots REALLY REALLY close to me. I dropped to the floor.
I sent a text but someone [who] walked through and said, “anyone seen on a phone will be shot”.
Thank you. I will never forget it.
The paramedics gave me two EKGs when I got out ... but my heart is still wobbly. Might to to the hospital tomorrow.
Also the pain of witnessing the shooting can’t be easy either. Did you observe the shooting of the employee? Or were you spared this final agony? Just heart breaking. Real time. My heart really goes to you at this hour BunnySlippers and in the days and weeks coming.
We've corresponded before many times...feel like I've know you for years. Just know that we are thinking of you:)

Well, I was released shortly before the end of the ordeal. I believe she was shot when he was trying to get out ... or something.
