Anthem protests are going to continue in 2018 despite this new policy-- The key reason is that liberal media organizations and social justice groups will continue to encourage and support players who participate NFL OWNERS FINALLY LISTEN TO THE FANS Jeff Crouere image By Jeff Crouere —— Bio and Archives May 26, 2018

After a year of intense controversy concerning player protests during the National Anthem, the NFL finally decided to act. At the spring NFL owners meeting this week, a decision was made to require players to “stand and show respect” during the National Anthem if they are on the playing field. Otherwise, players will be given the option to remain in the locker room. If players or club personnel on the field show disrespect during the National Anthem by not standing, their team will be fined by the NFL.

The aNtiFL lost me a long time ago when they allowed a 20 second “look at me” skit for a simple tackle. The players are pampered and groomed from high school. There was one kid in our area that was probably material, mom’s were sleeping with him. Sad.

Didn’t the owner or manager in I believe Dallas kneel?

Yep, Jerryworld took a knee. I'm done.

No, they did not listen. They allow players to hide their racist anti-Americanisms in the locker room instead of on the field.

Tough sh*t to the NFL. I’m done with them.

“NFL OWNERS FINALLY LISTEN TO THE FANS”

Ahh, nope, sorry bub, not true.

Look at the timing. What’s changed from several months ago when the owners told us to take it or leave it regarding the ‘protests’? Nothing in the news (until this), so why now?

ANSWER: Season Ticket sales. Take one guess where they’re going.

ALSO: Definitely not enough. They still think that we’re IDIOTS, because their Leftist Metrosexual ‘advisors’ keep saying just that to them.

If they want this to end, the owners have to do the following THINGS:

1) APOLOGIZE to us for ever supporting the thugs.
2) DONATE the $90M, not to BLM to ‘raise awareness’, but to the families of cops killed in the line of duty.
3) DEMAND that the thugs also APOLOGIZE for taking knees to protest this country and what it stands for.

Don’t see any of it happening, so the NFL might as well take a ticket in Bankruptcy Court, right behind Sears, JC Penny, and now Publix.

Yes, Jerry was out there while they all took a knee to show "solidarity". That was done either before or after the anthem.

It’s not the root of the problem.

Many NFL players (and NBA players, probably even MLB players) joined gangs in their youth. One of the first rule of most gangs is: Once in the gang, always in the gang.

These players believe their allegiance to the gang supersedes all other allegiances, contracts, etc. So, they are doing these protests against police on behalf of the gangs. So, they will not stop.

Will any admit this? Nope.

But still, the root of the problem is deeper. They joined the gang because there was no father in the home. No discipline. So, they joined the gang to have that relationship from the gang.

And that has been caused by the federal government creating welfare programs with payments that required there to be no father and no income from the father. So, for the good of the family, many of the the fathers left, back in the 1960s. It’s been passed on to so many generations now, so it is the common family thing. And boys join gangs.

Play college football on Sunday. Let the people decide who they would rather watch.

This ain’t over until the Chief Social Justice Warrior (Goodell) is fired by the owners and a new “Trumpian” Commissioner is appointed.

I am boycotting until that day.

Yes, you are right. That is what I was remembering, but needed to look it up. Owner joined his team in kneeling:

Too late. I don’t subsidize Black Lives Matter either directly or indirectly. I cancelled my NFL Sunday Ticket and terminated my account with DirecTV.

Too late for this fan. I have sworn off, forever, all pro sports. All. Of. Them.

I'm never again going to contribute financially to the drug addicted ghetto dog's bling lifestyle. The sooner he hits bottom, and all.

Too little too late. The NFL lost me when they kicked me in the teeth with their lame-assed National Anthem protests. Now they’re going to disrespect me even more by pandering to me. I’m done with the NFL and I’m not coming back, hopefully the other fans that have left will do the same and stay away.

LOL! I think you are right - from what it sounds like, the owners did not close the loopholes that they should have.

Astonishing.

Your post about gangs is something I didn’t know. It makes a lot of sense seeing what is really going on in pro sports and in the streets.

Thanks for your thought and insight.
