Three Oklahoma teenagers were killed last week when they broke into a house and were met by a homeowner with an AR15. Now the grandfather of one of the teenagers is speaking out about his grandson’s death.
According to KTUL-TV, Leroy Schumacher, grandfather of 17-year-old Jacob Redfearn, believes the death of Redfearn was unjustified because the homeowner’s AR15 gave him an unfair advantage over the three burglars.
Speaking to KTUL, Schumacher acknowledged that breaking into a house was “stupid,” but death was not the appropriate consequence.
“What these three boys did was stupid,” Schumacher said. “They knew they could be punished for it but they did not deserve to die.”

Criminals deserve no sympathy. And the homeowner had no responsibility to make things a fair fight. Shifting the advantage to his fever was a smart move.
It wasn't fair for someone to protect their family by driving a safer vehicle! So the sheep, for the most part, just blinked and continued to shuffle around obediently in lock step with the herd...

I guess the homeowner should have made them pancakes & counselled them. Break into someone’s home & expect bad things.

We can't forget that three teenagers had an unfair advantage over a single grandpa, but with the AR-15, grandpa took care of their unfair advantage. Instead of being robbed and beaten, maybe to death, he was now in charge and fairly defended himself.
If he had an advantage, that was a good thing. You always want to have the advantage in a dangerous situation. It's not your fault you want to be safe and alive.
It wasn’t meant to be a “fight”.
His grandson was a criminal, and got everything he deserved.
And now you know why those boys were of the mind to commit this crime in first place. Parenting.

Three against one unarmed man is considered a fair fight in some culture. Totally unfair for the victim to even up things a bit. And too bad the boys didn’t invite grandfather to the party.
