POTUS Trump just signed an Omnibus bill, NOT a federal budget! The appropriations in the bill are "suggestions" of how Trump SHOULD spend the money. Since this is not a budget, Trump is not bound by The Constitution to spend the money as appropriated. The Demonrats screwed themselves again by not passing a federal budget. I'm here to tell you that Trump's Wall shall indeed be funded with money from this Omnibus bill! President Donald J. Trump outsmarted these fools, once again!! Haahaa!!

Yup, learned that in 1963 under President Johnson. Was kinda crazy under Carter. Reagan cleaned a little bit but even he expanded government. Of course he gave us Oliver North, which was forced upon (NO EXCUSE) because congress like today wanted communist rule in South America. Clinton with Sid and Tony was out of control. Ah, and therein lies the rub.

Trump is not an ideologue. He's not hard-core conservative and can seem outright liberal at times.

But forgive him. He's a businessman at heart and not a politician. That is a good thing.

If we think we elected a true conservative, think again. While Trump has done a tremendous amount of work undoing what Obama did during his 8 years, he has not ever said he was a true conservative.

He has done some things better than Ronald Reagan but why do conservatives insist on purity in their leaders? No one is like that. If they were, they probably wouldn't have been elected.

Trump is doing a great job. Give him credit.

Is Trump perfect? No. Is he exceptional? Yes, absolutely.

We should count our blessings and stop complaining we didn't get everything we wrote to Santa about that we wanted for Christmas.

The crimulous bill specifically states that the money cannot be used to build any of the prototype walls.

However, and this is just me but after a good deal of thought on the subject I have come to the belief that a double fence system with a path in the middle for border patrol trucks is a better way to go. Cheaper and you can really throw that stuff up fast. Put some concertina wire along the top of the fencing and you have a pretty effective barrier that you can see through for observational purposes. Less repugnant to ranchers and municipalities.

So Trump dips into some of that DOD money plus the $1.5 billion for the wall and tells the corps of engineers to start throwing up fencing. Congress can suck air.

Can you please provide a source for your statements re Trump spending the money however he wants? I can find no such information stating Trump can take money from one appropriation area and spend it on whatever he wants...

I’m not expecting perfection. I’m not even expecting out and out conservatism from him. I took his campaign promises at face value. That’s all I want to see implemented. If he does those he will be the greatest president ever.

I can’t really blame them, it is exciting to finally have a president that we can stand behind and that is standing behind us. Nobody wants to give up that illusion, if that’s what it is. I’m still hoping there is some strategy behind this. As long as he fulfills his campaign promises I will be thrilled. He’s just having to fight everything and everyone, And even the strongest person might not be able to withstand that.

First, we do know.

Second, the $150 billion were frozen Iranian assets. I personally believe they forfeited those assets when they took our property, but my opinion counts for nothing.

Third, you can make up stuff about the appropriations process or the Constitution like the Democrats do, or you can claim the money was squandered overseas, when in fact it was squandered right here at home, or you can go out and scream at the sky like the Democrats do; I really don't care.

The document says specific things. Conservatives revere and obey it. Lawless people behave otherwise.
