Hip-hop icon Jay-Z said the drop of black unemployment under President Trump does not make him a good leader because "money doesn't equate to happiness" in an interview with CNN's Van Jones that aired Saturday night.
"To give him a little bit of credit too, he is somebody who is now saying, look, Im growing Im dropping black unemployment," Jones said of Trump. "Black people are doing well under my administration."
"Does he have a point that maybe the Democrats have been giving us good lip service, but no jobs. He may say terrible things, but putting money in our pockets. Does that make him a good leader?" Jones asked Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.
"No because its not about money at the end of the day," Jay-Z answered. "Money is not -- money doesn't equate to happiness. It doesnt. That's missing the whole point. You treat people like human beings, then -- that's the main point."
"It goes back to the whole thing, you going to treat me really bad and pay me well. It's not going to lead to happiness. It's going to lead to, again, the same thing," the musician said.

According to CNN, "the hip-hop star explained that many African-Americans and people in middle America have been voting Democrat for years because their families did. 'It was like a reflex ... but their needs weren't addressed.'"

If it’s not about the money, that should at least change the reparations debate.
Ending unemployment isn’t only about having more money, it’s about having something to do and being productive.
Lets see if we can find an English speaking spokes person.

Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!
Its about being proud to be an Nword, rather than being an honest productive citizen that also happens to be of African descent.
Eff U Lay-z
It’s always about the money. Always.
Unicorns for all.....
Having a job gives one dignity and a way to provide for his own needs, become independent, get off the Dem plantation.
Jay-Z and his ilk DO NOT want blacks take off to self-sufficiency and self-sustainability themselves.
They are perfectly happy to get any gubmint handouts, as long as they stay on the plantation continue to vote Dems.
Among that group you’ll be very hard pressed.
“’because its not about money at the end of the day,’ the multi-millionaire Jay-Z answered.”
Of course if you are worth $100 million it is easy to say its not about money.

Bouts da powah!

Well, whoever this “Jay Z” is, he speaks the truth, and if you don’t agree, you need to wake up.
IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. IT IS ABOUT WHO RULES, AND WHO IS RULED.
It's easy to say it's not about money when you have a net worth of over $800 million.
Ask the guy who's worried if he can make his rent payment if money equates happiness.
Yo Jay Z don’ care ‘boutjobs. He’s gots his $8O0 million an’ dat’s all dat matters Ya’ know what I’m sayin’?
Really?
That was quick.
