Putin: Communist ideology similar to Christianity, Lenin’s body like saintly relics
Russia Today ^ | January 14, 2018

Maybe I’ll say something that someone might dislike, but that’s the way I see it,” Putin said in an interview for the documentary Valaam, an excerpt of which was broadcast on Russia 1. “First of all, faith has always accompanied us, becoming stronger every time our country, our people, have been through hard times.

“There were those years of militant atheism when priests were eradicated, churches destroyed, but at the same time a new religion was being created. Communist ideology is very similar to Christianity, in fact: freedom, equality, brotherhood, justice – everything is laid out in the Holy Scripture, it’s all there. And the code of the builder of communism? This is sublimation, it’s basically just an excerpt from the Bible, nothing new was invented.”

Putin went further by comparing the Communists’ attitude to the Bolshevik leader Lenin to the veneration of saints in Christianity. “Look, Lenin was put in a mausoleum. How is this different from the relics of saints for Orthodox Christians and just for Christians? When they say that there’s no such tradition in Christianity, well, how come, go to Athos and take a look, there are relics of the saints there, and we have holy relics here,” Putin concluded.

After Lenin died in 1924, his body was embalmed and put on display in a mausoleum in Red Square, Moscow.

Putin’s words were music to the ears of Communist Party members. “I think these words of the president very effectively and reasonably smooth out the acute angles around the theme of the mausoleum,” Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Ivan Melnikov said...

Earlier this year, Gennadiy Zyuganov, the head of the Russian Communist Party, said Putin had promised him that as long as he remains president, Lenin’s body would remain in the mausoleum in Red Square.

Yes and of course as you know, skeletons of the millions murdered in Russia, when dug up, are often found with their Christian icons and jewelry in tact.

I can think of several mainline Christian denominations who will now be offering Putin a leadership position.

“Sounds more like Satanism than Christianity. Satan tried to dethrone God.”

Hence the perversion of Christianity.

Seeing as how Djughashvili himself was not Russian but Georgian, that would be oxymoronic. Especially with expanding the influence of the USSR as an empire, too. Of course, Adolf was Austrian. And Benito the communist also touted nationalism to seduce the “masses”.

Its not that sort of altruism.
We are speaking here of philosophies, not the messy empirical reality of the world as it actually is.

And a Godless altruism is indeed likely to become inhumanly vicious. As we have seen. Anything is justifiable for the good of the masses, including, possibly, killing off most of them.

A heresy can be a terrible thing indeed.

He is referring to Orthodox Christianity, Greek and Russian.
They split from Catholicism, finally, around a thousand years ago.

Your Protestant lot split from us just around 450 years ago.

Did not know that Christianity promoted abolition of the family, religion, private property and national borders.

Not to mention, the Communist Manifesto names Christianity as its primary enemy in the preamble of the Manifesto:
A specter is haunting Europe — the specter of communism.

All the powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this specter: Pope and Tsar, Metternich and Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies. …
The Pope is mentioned first, of course.

Yes but Putin has convinced conservatives of his “anti-gay” agenda?

And yet, for all his talk on so-called Western decadence, Russia has not been able to tackle its own mounting HIV epidemic:

For all his talk on the migrant/refugee crisis threatening Europe, Russia sure accepts a lot of Muslim workers visa-free.

Satanism in its iconography and ceremonial and its philosophy/theology, is a deliberate inverse of, especially, Catholicism. Catholicism just has all the cool stuff that they want the opposite of, everything worth perverting.

I don’t think I have ever heard of “Protestant” Satanists.

Then it is not actually altruistic. Nothing about communism really points towards the well-being of others, but towards its dogma. It claims to have the well-being of the “proletariat”, its imaginary superior class of humanity, in mind, but even who they identify as “proletariat” cannot live in a world without family, private property, religion and national borders.

That which is pointedly anti-Christian is not a perversion of Christianity. Communism is devoid of anything that even resembles Christianity.

Of course it mentions the Pope first.

The first rival of the heretic is the old religion.
Note, interestingly, it does not mention Protestants in any way. Guizot, Metternicht, the Tsar, etc. were Catholic or Orthodox.

For all his anti-gay talk on so-called Western decadence, Russia has not been able to tackle its own mounting HIV epidemic:

https://www.rt.com/news/414510-hiv-aids-russia-epidemic-denialists/

For all his talk on the need to improve Russia’s demographic situation, Putin is avowedly pro-Abortion:

For all his talk on the migrant/refugee crisis threatening Europe, Russia sure accepts a lot of Muslim workers visa-free.

And keeps Islamic-fascists like Ramzan Kadyrov ruling over an entire Russian republic (Chechnya) well-fed and happy:

Heretics teach a false doctrine while pretending to be part of the religion they are attempting to subvert. This is not what communism is.

Communism, remember, has declared itself opposed to all religion. Not just Christianity or Judaism. All religion is regarded (per Marx) as “the opium of the people” to be stopped “cold turkey” and forced into atheism.

They think it does.
The communist struggles, at the cost, often enough, of his own life, his own happiness, his own family, for the sake of the “workers”, or the mass of the people and their posterity, however defined.

The reality of it we criticize, but that was their creed. Overtly anyway, all human ideas are corrupted and compromised from the beginning.

Just like Satanists, they copied something else, and it is a very good argument that it was Christianity.

An old, very nerdy conservative slogan was “Don’t immanentize the eschaton”, that is, dont try to make heaven on earth. Because that was the root of the communist idea.
