Did not know that Christianity promoted abolition of the family, religion, private property and national borders.

Not to mention, the Communist Manifesto names Christianity as its primary enemy in the preamble of the Manifesto:
A specter is haunting Europe — the specter of communism.

All the powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this specter: Pope and Tsar, Metternich and Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies. …
The Pope is mentioned first, of course.

Of course it mentions the Pope first.

The first rival of the heretic is the old religion.
Note, interestingly, it does not mention Protestants in any way. Guizot, Metternicht, the Tsar, etc. were Catholic or Orthodox.
