Its back to work for the new year, but its only Humpday. And, its really dragging, my trigger finger is itching to get back out on the range, must be withdrawals.
For this fellow gun hobbyist, he already beat me to the range and has a new trick with his Glock. What he does is put a round on top of the slide (locked back) of the glock. While holding it, he tosses the round up into the air and have it land into the open port.
Release the slide forward to rack one into the chamber and fires a shot. Yeh, it looks pretty cool! Now see the Glock trick footage here. Definitely, beats the water bottle flip challenge.
Titanium extractors are.
I’m gonna get good at this and get ALL the women.
When I was in the Navy Seals this was a required skill.
Nothing could go wrong.
I’m gonna learn how to do this with a revolver.
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen.
NO!!!!!
It’s the wrong size round.
Yeah, well, Rose Bowl BUDDY! :-)
This is a dangerous stunt. Years ago after an IPSC stage guys would routinely would eject a live round and catch it in their hands before showing clear. It was a neat trick but one time someone messed up and the round was caught between the slide and the chamber. The edge of the closing slide hit the primer and set off the live round near the guy’s hand. He ended up in the emergency room.
Yeah, I admit it... like you said, this guy probably gets all the chicks.
and soon to become an Olympic sport..........
so why dint the slide lock back on an empty chamber?
Thanks for posting that. I do recreational shoots with my pistol - similar to the IPSC but much more relaxed. I just let my ejected rounds hit the dirt. But was thinking I should try catching it like lots of the other do.
I guess I’ll just keep my focus on the shooting. (I do very well with not missing many targets - say 2 out of 50. My speed though... I’m not the slowest, but if I could break into the upper 50% that would be nice!)
When I was a kernel in the Murine Corpse this was common knowledge.
