Its back to work for the new year, but its only Humpday. And, its really dragging, my trigger finger is itching to get back out on the range, must be withdrawals.
For this fellow gun hobbyist, he already beat me to the range and has a new trick with his Glock. What he does is put a round on top of the slide (locked back) of the glock. While holding it, he tosses the round up into the air and have it land into the open port.
Release the slide forward to rack one into the chamber and fires a shot. Yeh, it looks pretty cool! Now see the Glock trick footage here. Definitely, beats the water bottle flip challenge.
Hold muh beer?
hate to see people screwing around with firearms this way
This is a dumb way to handle a firearm.
JMO, obviously.
We’ll see how long before he has to replace his extractor. Glock extractors are not meant to snap over a rim, but to have it slide up under the extractor as it is stripped from the magazine.
I could tell hat from the title. Didn’t click on it
Well, THAT is just showing off....
Like fanning a revolver. Clint Eastwood style.
Yes, it’s always clickbait.
This wasn’t as impressive as I expected. The magazine was in the well, so the round would just fall in, sit on the top of the mag, and chamber like a round would. If the mag well was empty, that might be a bit more impressive, but I agree with the plurality of FReepers that this sort of “trick” is not demonstrable of appropriate firearm handling.

I gotta agree. And this sort of thing often leads to dangerous one-upmanship. “That’s nothing. Watch me do this.”
AM Shooting Journal isn’t as smart as they’d like us to believe, or they’re outsourcing their multimedia integration.
“Bullet Toss trick with a Glock” indeed.
Sneer.
The next step is: “Who can do it the fastest?”
At which point, someone, most likely intoxicated, will accidentally shoot himself or a spectator.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
Don’t bother trying to talk sense to him, he’s not mature enough to GAF.
In fact, he probably takes encouragement from it.
“Never play with guns”, my Dad told me when I was 5.
What could possibly go wrong?
I’m gonna try this with my AK-47.
This is a combat skill.
You’re just jealous.
