Real Americans,
I have been asking one question on several threads on several blogs, hoping someone can provide an answer: "Has anyone seen a video proving the accused was actually firing the weapon(s) described from the location described on Oct 1, 2017?"
Thanks for posting. Not an echo, echo’s don’t fire first. Not from the same location either.
“Zulu Time”. The US Military uses it to present a clear picture of the time of an event regardless of position on the globe or local time variations (like Daylight Savings). I would expect the computer network handling the police body cams ‘might’ have this feature.

He also doesn’t seem to be the kind of person who would want to distinguish himself with such an obvious tattoo.
We've got only a few pictures of the guy, taken at very different ages, and only one is close enough to reveal anything like that.
If more photos surface, we'll see if he really does have that tat or if its just the skin on his neck.
You could be right, anything is possible with this guy, but 60 year-olds aren't as likely to have tattoos as younger people and millionaires can afford something better than what looks like a cheap jailhouse tat.
I know one of the dead. May he rest in peace.
:o(
Exactly. No one has mentioned any neck tattoo, either.
That’s what I was thinking, as I worked in the “Zulu World” for many years. You’re almost certainly correct, but it’s kind of odd for a local entity to operate in Zulu, isn’t it?
Afraid you have confused the made up term “assault weapon” with the real term “assault rifle”.
Afraid you are playing into the lefts word game. An AR is a modern sporting rifle. Attaching “assault” to it has a negative connation that is designed to make it “evil”
First off, I believe the event happened, and people were injured and killed by gunfire. I don’t think the entire thing was a hoax.
What I have an issue with is the ballistics data makes a mess out of at least one of the stories.
The shooter was on the 32nd floor of a building, shooting out of a window at night into a target area 350 +/- yards away. He was also allegedly using a bump-fire stock with an AR15 in either .223 or .308.
In what amounts to perfect conditions, which I define as: A perfectly still rifle in a bench or shooters rest, at 0 feet sea level, with a barometric pressure of 29.92 Hg, at 59 degrees F, and a relative humidity of 50% - A 70 grain Remington .223 bullet will travel (at an angle of -30 degrees which is an estimate based on the height of the floor and distance to the middle of the venue) for .5ms and drop 16 inches. When it leaves the barrel it will have a velocity of 2850 fps and an energy of 1263 lbf. When it hits the target area, it will have a velocity of 2051 fps and an energy of 650 lbf.
In the same conditions, a 168 grain Winchester .308 bullet will travel for .4 ms and drop 17 inches. When it leaves the barrel it will have a velocity of 2700 fps and an energy of 2720 lbf. When it hits the target area, it will have a velocity of 2086 fps and an energy of 1623 lbf.
In either case, the energy of the bullet at the point of impact could be lethal - with the .308 more than twice that of the .223. However, what I’m more interested in is the fact that many people reported either seeing someone shot multiple times, or being shot multiple times. This is probably the most-reported example: http://www.ktuu.com/content/news/Las-Vegas-victim-to-return-home-to-North-Pole-449511183.html
At that angle - and in perfect conditions with a perfectly still weapon - during its flight to the target area, the .223 would have 11 inches of drop and the .308 would have 17. Drop is the effect of gravity pulling down on the projectile. The effect *is* lessened due the negative angle. For instance, the .308 would drop 22 inches if the angle were zero and the .223 would drop 21. However, it’s not enough to matter.
Our alleged shooter is using ARs with bump-fire stocks on what amounts to full auto for ten second plus bursts. The barrel of the gun is going to be moving around a *lot* when he is doing this - pretty much every round. What’s that going to do? It’s going to change the angle *and* the direction - because as I said above, my calculations are based on a *perfectly still* weapon on a bench or rest at a -30 degree angle. A bump stock used the way you can hear it in the videos will cause the barrel of the weapon to move a matter of a few inches back and forth and up and down. That will make one bullet leave the barrel at a -32 degree angle and the next one to leave at a -28 degree angle and the next to leave at a -34 degree angle and so on - and that’s not taking into account the side-to-side movement of the barrel. In short distances, this doesn’t matter much - but the farther away the weapon is, the more the effect is amplified.
At that distance - even in perfect conditions - every single round is going to have a trajectory that varies from every other round by a matter of *feet* - not inches.
The chances of one person being hit twice in the chest and once in the arm by an AR firing either caliber using a bump stock at that rate of fire, on ten-second plus bursts from the 32nd floor of that hotel, 350 +/- yards away, at night, are nearly zero. Even if he were standing perfectly still and even if the contention is that he fell inside the target area and was supposedly hit three *separate* times, the odds are still long. And that’s not what his friend said the night of the shooting. He was shot three times instantaneously and said aloud “I’ve been hit.” Then he went down and his friend covered him. There was no - “...he was hit and then we went down and he got hit again and then hit again later...”
Someone was closer - even on the ground somewhere - shooting a .223 or .308 AR on three-shot bursts - likely suppressed.
Does this mean he was the shooter in the hotel or not? I don’t know. I just know it means - to me anyway - that there was more than one shooter.
No, Paddock escaped. The dead guy lying on the floor among firearms and hundreds of spent shell casings was actually the bus boy who entered the room right before the swat team arrived......Talk about bad timing.
VERY GOOD Analysis, thank you.
And to clarify: I have no doubt the incident happened. I also understand that theories are all over the place. I’m doing my best to stay away from all of them.
I am not a firearm expert. But knowing how ‘The Strip’ operates and my political experience, allow me to throw a couple more things out there I omitted only due to time:
In my adult life, I have never, EVER heard of a owner of multiple firearms such as the ones listed who had NEVER voted - unless they had a criminal record. In which case such ownership would be illegal. Yet, I’m being told the accused has no criminal or voting record. Sorry, not buying that.
Next is the ‘no online history’ report. You’re telling me a wealthy real-estate owner and gambler does NOT have an online history? In 2017? Really? Oh, but he can wire $100K to GF oversize (which BTW, throws up an immediate red flag with the feds, but that’s another matter).
And as you read the other comments, there other key Vegas-related questions that no one has an answer, yet making this information public should have no bearing on the investigation. However, providing these answers would better explain with a gambler visiting from 80 miles away was actually doing days before this event.
Remember, asking unanswered questions does not make one a ‘conspiracy theorist’.
Probably SOP for LEO so the time can be determined with 100% certainty, regardless of DST or changing Time Zones.
When I was in the national guard infantry in the 80s we used m16 assault rifles. The ar15 is like a civilian varint of the m16 ehich is why I call it sn assault rifle. It is a techincal term decades older than the PC term assault weapon which was codified around 2003 in the so called assault eeapons ban. Assault rifle is not a PC term. It predates this newspeak crap.
“Probably SOP for LEO so the time can be determined with 100% certainty, regardless of DST or changing Time Zones.”
That’s one way of looking at it. :)
Thank you. Hopefully they will be consistent with that on any future body cam footage.
It makes me what to go back and look at the football player’s body cam footage to see if that has the same type of time/date stamp.
Thanks..
Within that same footage, there is no date/time stamp on some parts-that too was odd.
As I mentioned to someone else, I want to go back to the NFL player’s bodycam footage to see if there is a time/date on that..
