Is this stalking killer clown for real, or is this a hoax? Or just another copy cat using the new Stephen King remake of “It” movie to craft a publicity stunt.
Facebooker Draven Riffe swears this knife-wielding clown was quite real. Afterwards, Draven was so shaken by the encounter that he waited in his treestand for two hours for law enforcement to escort him out safely.
Imagine this scene. You are up in your treestand with your bow ready for your big buck to come by. Instead of a buck, it is a madman dressed like a clown, armed with a big butcher knife. He stands silently under your treestand, looking up at you menacingly while holding the gleaming steel knife ready for use against you.
Well, that is exactly what Draven Riffe says he caught on video in Charleston, West Virginia.
What would you do in this situation? While we are split on whether this footage is real or, as some skeptics think, fake, the killer clown epidemic is indeed going to cause harm to both clown and victims.
If you are a killer clown pranker, better think again as an arrow or Mr. 308 may be in your future if you pick on the wrong hunter or concealed-carrying citizen. What would you do? See the killer clown or hoax video here.

Find it hard to believe Mr. Clown was out walking through the woods one day - perhaps we’re to believe he was going from one “kill” to another.
Staged....
Let’s assume that I’m in my normal “in the woods carry mode”.
I’d make the clown aware of the .357 in my shoulder holster, and convince him to take his threatening act elsewhere.
I’d put an arrow between his feet. If he didn’t move and kept staring at me, I’d put one in the top of his head.
A .270 with a scope would be quicker.
What would you do if a Clown Pulled his Knife on you.
Gaston Glock would have the obvious answer to that.
Ugh. Random capitalization disease.
I would have shot him/her/it, whatever, for now it/she/he is free to go maybe kill someone unarmed.
Create a couple of new orifices.

Are we presupposing that clowns regularly carry knives? Is he a Sikh?
Assuming this is real and not staged with the hunter in on it . . .
If you believe the clown poses an immediate danger to you or to another, you have a responsibility to stop the threat. I would feel very bad if I displayed a weapon and the clown left, only to kill someone else. With a bow or with a firearm, unless you are a phenomenally irresponsible hunter, you are perfectly capable of reliably stopping this threat. If it is a real threat, why leave that danger out there to harm an innocent person?
I would shoot a rabid animal. I would shoot a predator endangering livestock, pets, or people. I am not sure why wearing a clown suit would make this dangerous predator different from other dangerous predators. I would not shoot him merely for waving a knife and acting menacing, but if he started to climb the tree stand, I would interpret that as a genuine and immediate danger to my life.
