A landscaper in #Phoenix, Arizona, is blaming employees at a local #Motel 6 for the visit he received from federal immigration agents while he was a guest at the motel recently. Manuel Rodriguez-Juarez, 33, said he reserved a room in June to get away from home during a spat with his girlfriend. He reportedly showed the front desk clerk the only identification he had -- a voter card issued in Mexico -- when he checked in.

That’s what I always thought. In today’s upside-down world, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was illegal to report an illegal.
It sounds like the police and ice are getting a full list of guests and the type of id from motels. They are also looking for criminals with outstanding warrants. Sounds legit to me. Many countries have hotels turn over a guest list to the police. Sounds like they are now using some computerized system.
I agree. In the Kansas City area, law enforcement has offered up ‘anti-sex trafficking’ classes to hotel staff. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if sharing guest lists is an off-shoot of this.
Except now that the corporate office found out what the local Motel 6 were doing, they told them to stop.
