Long-time freeper relocating from 110% Dem. voting district (you know what I mean) in Brooklyn to a Tucson development with one of the largest (if not the largest) Republican clubs in America (learned about it on FR about a decade ago!). So sick of running into people who insult Trump continuously, just assuming I'm of like mind because I don't wear a swastika or other Nazi paraphernalia. Was inspired by recent thread started by freeper moving to Phoenix. BTW, I know it's hot!
I’m thinking of doing the same thing so by all means please give us an update 6 months or so from now so that we know how you feel about it.
I’m female (cisgendered and not transgender) so won’t be wearing ties anyway!
Watch out for girls from Winslow who are driving flatbed Fords.
Zackley !! Buy a gun or 2 or 3. Dont hook up cable TV.
A tip from a former resident of Yuma. Locate a nice hotel on San Diego bay, plan to spend a couple of weeks in August there. It was the key to our survival.
Good on that front then ;)
Thanks to the Arizona Citizens Defense League (www.azcdl.org) a CCW permit is optional in Arizona and is only required when entering establishments that serve alcohol and are not posted with no-guns signs.
In Arizona, being armed is a “right” not a “permit.”
Awesome! Welcome to the Liberation of the Old Pueblo! I moved here from NorCal recently...plenty of friendly people, but beware, it's the left wing headquarters of Arizona.
Oro Valley and North is more conservative and growing fast. Tucson proper is not very attractive.
I’m in Tucson so private mail me with your questions Welcome!
Tucson & Pima County are Leftist!
Why not the Phx area? Specifically the East Valley (Mesa, Gilbert)...much more Conservative, low crime.
But dry heat and low humidity is better. I should know as I go back to Va Beach every summer. I long for Tucson.
Tucson is Berkeley with cactus.
El Charro on Sunrise is my favorite
June is the hottest month here
Well, have fun. I have a friend who lives in Tucson and she loves it. Just be prepared for heat and snakes.
I’m afraid you are thinking of another town. Unless you are going to Oro valley the traffic is fine and we do t need another freeway. South Tucson has the crime.
But Tuscon? Why Tuscon??
And much lower in crime.
Call the cops in Oro Valley and they will be there in 4-5 minutes. Try that in Tucson...:^)
But, as a previous poster sort of mentioned, they finance through traffic tickets... Don't speed.
