Social Justice Site Ponders Whether White Men 'Deserve' to Vote
PJ Media ^ | 8-2-2017 | Stephen Kruiser

Posted on 08/03/2017 6:13:17 AM PDT by Sir Napsalot

For anyone who monitors a lot of news and political sources on social media, every day is filled with "The Onion or Not The Onion?" moments. Much of what the leftists-especially the social just warriors-do is often hard to distinguish from satire or parody.

Here's an example:

Do White Men Really Deserve To Vote? The Same People Who Bought Us Trump: http://affinitymagazine.us/2017/08/01/do-white-men-really-deserve-to-vote/  … 11:55 AM - Aug 1, 2017

(snip)

It turns out that the site was founded by a teenager and caters to teens. More on that in a moment, let's look at the meat of the post.

Now, history lessons aside; many people who disagree so far might be thinking, “Yes, all this injustice that happened in the past was undoubtedly awful. However, two wrongs don’t make a right.” However one can’t be sure if withdrawing the white man’s vote could be considered a “wrong”. Furthermore, the point here that has to be made is that banning white men from voting temporarily will help them understand systemic injustice and help them become better, more empathetic allies to the social justice cause. ......

That's the conclusion offered by the sixteen-year-old author. Let's commit an injustice to make people understand injustice. This, of course, is not unheard of from leftists.

Or, you have to pay taxes!

Yes. I’m fine with that, assuming the property owners could get the local government to create legal lots that small. :)

I worked for years with a good friend, African American, who was a purchasing agent for our company. He believed firmly that only tax paying land owners/renters should be allowed to vote. No one who got welfare should be allowed.

Truth be told, that is the one I’d really like to see stick. If, after receiving any government benefits and paying taxes, the tax side is even one cent higher than the benefits side, you get to vote. Otherwise, nope.

Hmmm.... Let’s rephrase that?

Do women deserve to vote?

Do blacks deserve to vote?

Do muslims deserve to vote?

Do homosexuals deserve to vote?

Do trannies deserve to vote?

And let’s watch liberal heads explode.....

I earned my right to vote in 1968 leaving a few pints of blood and pound of flesh in a rice paddy along with tens of thousands other young men. I joined the Army at 17, about the age of these social warrior snowflakes. When they have ‘earned’ their right to vote and judge whether I can, then maybe I would listen to them. Until then they can shut up and debate amongst themselves what gender they are that day.

One wacky teenager saying white men should not have the vote ... yawn.

I’ve heard people on this site saying women should not have the vote ... at least 100 times over the years.

Both wacky (and totalitarian) proposals.

As does my Winchester Model 70 Laredo, which I affectionately refer to as my “AT&T Rifle”. (See my tagline)

One cannot understand the Left, with its absurd frenzy to pretend human equality; with its beliefs based upon the quest for an absurd Collectivist/Humanist world order; with its endless hate driven rants against all basic aspects of our settler heritage, without realizing that it is driven by a deep seated hatred of the realities of human life--as well as the natural order, in general.

Once that reality is truly grasped, one need never lose an argument to any Leftist. Their world is cloud-borne, and utterly indefensible in the realm of reason.

Footnote On Absurd Egalitarian Compulsion.

Compassion Or Compulsion?

Not "Social" & Not "Just"!

“I’d like a return to “you have to own real estate to vote”. “

Nonsense-———some of the most patriotic people I know never owned property, andthat includes my mother.

I was saying it more as a joke.

But speaking of your mother, I think the beginning of the end was when we gave women the vote.

Dead serious. I have complex reasons for this, being a student of U.S. history as well as the functioning of the brains of men vs women, so I can’t get into all the nuanced reasons. But it’s what I believe.

I think it is way past time that we turned the corner from endlessly seeking to increase the suffrage, to terminating suffrage for those with clear conflicts of interest. It grows more critical by the day!

I'm visualizing the right to vote being stripped from Schumer, McLame, Ryan, McConnell, Franken, . . . .

May not be such a bad thing after all.

Since my mothers side of the family came here from Spain in 1549 with Ornate and Cortes - I can claim Hispanic as easily as Barack Obama can claim black.

Just curious, but do young whites hear about this stuff? Or are they just so conditioned to their rights being assaulted they’re like the Eloi in “The Time Machine?” Viz. they think they deserve no better than to be sacrificed at the altar of political correctness and reverse discrimination?

As not being ‘young white’, and don't know any ‘young whites’ in close acquaintance, I can't answer your question.

I can only look at some of the comments and/or original posts on social media sites. And I don't like what I'm seeing.

Remember these teens and their parents had gone through the cultural revolution of our own, and recently they (progressives) don't even bother to mask anymore.

I’d like a return to “you have to own real estate to vote”. Nothing fancy. Even a half acre in Appalachia will do.

People who own real estate have a vested interest in seeing their community prosper. If the community doesn't prosper, the value of their holdings go down.

Meanwhile, renters can just move elsewhere after they have done damage to their current community.
