Chelsea Manning, a transgender activist and former Army intelligence analyst who was imprisoned for leaking hundreds of thousands of classified U.S. documents, showed up to the White House on Thursday morning to protest President Donald Trumps decision to ban transgender people from serving in the military.
Trump announced his decision to ban transgender service members on Wednesday via Twitter, spurring Manning to appear at the White House the following day to protest the policy change, the Washington Examiner reported.
Manning, a transgender woman who was formerly known as Bradley, posted a photo to Instagram in which she referred to the White House as the new ground zero of the war on trans people.
Trump made waves with his announcement on Twitter, in which he said that, after consultation with my generals and military experts, transgender individuals will not be allowed to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military.
The series of tweets drew immediate responses and criticism from reporters, celebrities, and lawmakers from both political parties.
The Department of Defense has indicated that it is not prepared to implement the policy change.
There will be no modifications to the current policy until the presidents direction has been received by the secretary of defense and the secretary has issued implementation guidance, wrote Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Manning initially responded to the presidents announcement by calling his decision cowardice.

Well, in spite of your warning, I just had to look. Good grief. “He’s” not getting enough attention I guess, so had to gussy it up some. I really wanted to see if HE was in high heels...
What in the Sam Hill is the difference between transsexual and transgender? Aren’t they one and the same?
He seems to be channeling his inner Marilyn Manson in that picture. Can’t put enough lipstick on that pig!
I’m sure this will generate so much sympathy for their cause.
I wonder what he does for a living and how he manages to show up at the WH to protest! Bet he qualified for some kind of disability hence, travel isn’t a problem for him.
Unpardon it.
He/she/it should have faced a firing squad for treason or at least life in prison at our expense, whichever one of those options is the cheapest. Just another abortion of justice thanks to the loser that pardoned him/her/it.
I was kind of thinking the same thing.
During my time long ago I was 100% apolitical so I didn't pay much attention to such issues but I've always suspected that the open, public, display of contempt for senior members of the chain of command was a court martial offense.
Maybe some JAG type Freeper can school me here.
Thousands of leftists send him money on a regular basis.
He’s the poster child for why the ban was put in place.
Sorry, if you have a mental illness you are not fit to be in the military - And certainly should not have access to confidential information.
Sorry, I just had to look. But why is that ugly dude wearing black lipstick and a hashtag necklace? /s
IMHO the whole Manning espionage affair was a larger conspiracy and an Obama Administration inside job with high level Obama people colluding with Manning to collect Top Secret information for Manning to leak
Obama gave him a sentence commutation to keep him from exposing others in the conspiracy
I looked. That’s some serious eye-bleach material. What a putrid little moron.
Can President Trump revoke Manning’s sentence commutation???
Maybe find something new to charge the POS with?????
This guy should still be in jail.
Not one penny for dickectomies or addadicktomes!
Also protesting the “ban” on espionage I suppose? /sarc
all the Bradley freak show accomplishes is to justify the president’s decision
And he’s still alive?
Sores is probably paying him big bucks as he is the poster child for Trans-people in the Military.
Go to hell Manning!
