Unpresidential? Sure. But the hysterical media reaction to the spoof video of Trump wresting a man with a CNN logo on his head shows journalists aren't acting like real journalists, either. Claims that Trump is endangering the lives of journalists invite the contempt of viewers who long suspected journalists can dish it out but can't take it.
(TWEET-AT-LINK)
It's a joke, Joyce:
The video was a modified version of a 2007 appearance by Mr Trump at World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania 23 promotion, in which Mr Trump "takes down" WWE chairman Vince McMahon.
Hysterical wah wah:
n a statement, CNN called it a "sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters."
"Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so," CNN's statement continued. "Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his."
Should the president do this?
No.
Is it juvenile?
Yes.
Is CNN in any position to whinge about behavior unbecoming?
Absolutely not. It repeatedly breaches reporting standards to smear Trump:
CNN.com ... reported - citing a single anonymous source - that Senate investigators were looking into a meeting between a member of President Donald Trump's transition team, Wall Street financier Anthony Scaramucci, and an executive of a Russian investment fund before Trump took office. The story seemed to advance the narrative of ties between Trump campaign officials and people close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
One problem: When challenged on the particulars of the story, CNN acknowledged that it couldn't stand by it. It retracted it and apologised... But the zeal to break news can create haste that leads to flawed reporting. Like all major news organisations, CNN is under pressure to produce scoops that draw ratings and Web traffic, and to stay competitive with the likes of the New York Times and The Washington Post, which have been leaders on the Trump-Russia story.
Among its other high-profile debacles over the past month, CNN fired comedian Kathy Griffin, who co-hosted its New Year's Eve program, after she took part in a photo shoot in which she posed with a bloody facsimile of Trump's severed head. It corrected a story that wrongly predicted what former FBI Director James Comey would say about Trump in his congressional testimony. And it subsequently cancelled a new series, "Believer," and fired host Reza Aslan after he described Trump in vulgar terms on Twitter.
CNN can dish out abuse but can't take it:
CNN political commentator and GOP strategist Ana Navarro ... called the president a lunatic man-baby. ...
"This dude, this disgusting dude, is the president of the United States. ... Hes acting for all of us ... and he is embarrassing. He is shameful.
Navarro said she has had it with Republican politicians who criticize the president but do nothing more.
Its time that somebody ... calls him up and says, Listen, you crazy, lunatic 70-year-old man-baby, stop it. You are now the president of the United States, the commander in chief, and you need to stop acting like a mean girl, because we just wont take it."
Only heroes of the Left are allowed to call people insane. Bernie Sanders, for instance, abusing Trump.
Good for me, not for thee. Go pound sand. I'd rather my President get things done than look cool and act cool. If that means he shows he's more like normal folks than the arrogant class, more power to him.
LOL
This is below the Presidency! LOL
I think we should allow fisticuffs in Congress and the Senate LOL
The media can dish it out, but they can’t take it. They’re flummoxed, and they don’t know how to deal with it. Sounds like they need a good enema, and President Trump is the man to do it.
Who decided Anna Navarro is a “GOP Strategist”? She’s actually a racist La Raza skank and NOBODY in the GOP should be listening to her.
I am a Hispanic Republican woman, this sanctimonious beyotch does not speak for me!

Actually as I was just commenting to my sister in law, there have been vigorous cultures around past presidents, like both the Roosevelts. The “quiet gentleman” meme is more recent.
Donald's a redneck, dear ivory tower elitists. Deal with it.
Shall we sing it? (Shameless plugs)
Unpresidential?
Don’t see anything “unpresidential” in T kicking a weenie’s ass. Go Trump!
Been a loooooong time since we had a POTUS with some Cajones in the Truman/Reagan mode.
Come to think of it, a lot of them look like carnies.
Watch for Jim Acosta to turn into a foaming at the mouth, incoherent, babbling fool at the next presser - oh wait....
It’s great. Thanks!
I think we can hold AT&T's feet to the fire. Time Warner, the owner of CNN, is not as widely known by Deplorables. But everyone in America knows AT&T. And I have high confidence that CNN will be on a shorter leash if AT&T decides to keep CNN after the merger happens. If CNN stands alone, we may actually have less power because someone like Jeff Bezos (owner of Washington Post) and CEO of Amazon will buy the firm and keep it funded. We can also help the cause by associating the Fake News brand with their owners as I've done in this graphic. |
President Trump is really only trying to help CNN and has made several attempts to do so. How many times has he called them to task for blowing the opportunity to improve their integrity and strengthen their business standing with very simple changes? During that famous first press conference President Trump made very direct, very Presidential, attempts to forewarn CNN about the impending doom that lies ahead for them if they continue down the path they have chosen. He's not actively trying to destroy them (as they are convinced he's attempting to do), he is very proactively trying to tell them their vehicle is on fire, they are driving too fast, and that there is a brick wall ahead of them.
A scene in the movie “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” comes to mind and illustrates what the president is doing with CNN. CNN are John Candy and Steve Martin driving on the wrong side of the road not knowing they are headed towards two oncoming tractor-trailers. President Trump is the other driver on the proper side of the road witnessing CNN’s error and attempting to warn them that they are going the wrong way. CNN, through their blind arrogance is ignoring the warning thinking, “how could the president know where they are going?”
Was it Presidential when Stompy Foot referred to himself 45 times over the course of the speech at the memorial service for the five police officers killed in Dallas? How about this Presidential moment?
To your list
Was it presidential when O promised
If you like your doctor you will keep your doctor
Each family will see their health care expenses decrease by $2500
Benghazi was the result of a video.....
:: Should the president do this? No. Is it juvenile? Yes. ::
Gee, Mr. Bolt, when were you POTUS such that you can teach the current POTUS ^how^ to be POTUS?
As POTUS-DJT said [paraphrase]: I’m President, the media isn’t.
I don’t have it. It is here on the site somewhere.
