Unpresidential? Sure. But the hysterical media reaction to the spoof video of Trump wresting a man with a CNN logo on his head shows journalists aren't acting like real journalists, either. Claims that Trump is endangering the lives of journalists invite the contempt of viewers who long suspected journalists can dish it out but can't take it.
(TWEET-AT-LINK)
It's a joke, Joyce:
The video was a modified version of a 2007 appearance by Mr Trump at World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania 23 promotion, in which Mr Trump "takes down" WWE chairman Vince McMahon.
Hysterical wah wah:
n a statement, CNN called it a "sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters."
"Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so," CNN's statement continued. "Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his."
Should the president do this?
No.
Is it juvenile?
Yes.
Is CNN in any position to whinge about behavior unbecoming?
Absolutely not. It repeatedly breaches reporting standards to smear Trump:
CNN.com ... reported - citing a single anonymous source - that Senate investigators were looking into a meeting between a member of President Donald Trump's transition team, Wall Street financier Anthony Scaramucci, and an executive of a Russian investment fund before Trump took office. The story seemed to advance the narrative of ties between Trump campaign officials and people close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
One problem: When challenged on the particulars of the story, CNN acknowledged that it couldn't stand by it. It retracted it and apologised... But the zeal to break news can create haste that leads to flawed reporting. Like all major news organisations, CNN is under pressure to produce scoops that draw ratings and Web traffic, and to stay competitive with the likes of the New York Times and The Washington Post, which have been leaders on the Trump-Russia story.
Among its other high-profile debacles over the past month, CNN fired comedian Kathy Griffin, who co-hosted its New Year's Eve program, after she took part in a photo shoot in which she posed with a bloody facsimile of Trump's severed head. It corrected a story that wrongly predicted what former FBI Director James Comey would say about Trump in his congressional testimony. And it subsequently cancelled a new series, "Believer," and fired host Reza Aslan after he described Trump in vulgar terms on Twitter.
CNN can dish out abuse but can't take it:
CNN political commentator and GOP strategist Ana Navarro ... called the president a lunatic man-baby. ...
"This dude, this disgusting dude, is the president of the United States. ... Hes acting for all of us ... and he is embarrassing. He is shameful.
Navarro said she has had it with Republican politicians who criticize the president but do nothing more.
Its time that somebody ... calls him up and says, Listen, you crazy, lunatic 70-year-old man-baby, stop it. You are now the president of the United States, the commander in chief, and you need to stop acting like a mean girl, because we just wont take it."
Only heroes of the Left are allowed to call people insane. Bernie Sanders, for instance, abusing Trump.
At least she admits he’s the Presiddent.
Progress!
Dear Lord! He has them spinning like tops LOL
I have not even seen the video but I am larfing my *** off.
Can’t happen enough to this bunch of pricks.
You need to watch the video, its great!
The most ludicrous part of this whole war on the media is finding out places like CNN thought they were real journalists and not carnival hucksters. They take themselves seriously!
I love it.
I just love it.
Donald is using the WWE style. Of course that stuff is all choreographed, it’s rare for anybody to actually get anything more than superficial injuries, but they have blood packs, etc to amp up the gore theater.
But he’s playing to the rednecks. Even the skeptical ones are going to start getting a hoot out of this.
Should Donald Trump do this? I say heck YEAH. Now that might not be my forte or yours, but it’s his.
Everyone at CNN is mentally unstable.
Gore my Oxen and you become swine. Been like that since swine and Oxen.
It sure looks like gratuitous goring.
Not a matter of them “becoming” swine. They already ARE and are just showing that fact.
Well Donald didn’t do it this time, it looks like. Some Trump fan did it.
It still has CNN in a swivet.
For goodness sake. This is WWE Kabuki-theater. It’s symbolic. It is the redneck version of a morality drama. No, the rednecks aren’t even CLOSE to doing it, any more than people actually get seriously hurt in WWE wrestling shows.
Cowards. COWARDS.
OK, I nibble at, if not eat, my words. Donald tweeted it at least. I don’t know if he authored the video edit, though. Anybody know about that?
Link?
forgawdsakes please mr trump, stop the at&t / cnn merger.
cnn need to be spun off on its own
The only reason CNN is complaining is that they know they got schlonged. President Trump has won the fake Russia story. His tweet today just put a final nail in the coffin of the coup-by-media, and CNN hates that.

YEE HAW.
They got WWE rassled.
Quintessential redneck putdown. These nervous nellies don’t understand the culture. Hey lefty multi-culti diversity mavens. This is redneck. Rednecks elected Donald Trump. Rednecks built America. Rednecks even come in many colors.
