Path Between the Seas. Great book. Many photos. The PCC has some 10,000 glass plate photo negatives and one can order prints. All the restaurants and places in Panama have them on large posters. Fantastic.

Teddy Roosevelt went down there during the digging and was the 1st US president to leave the country...
