After the Washington Post claimed that Press Secretary Sean Spicer was hiding in bushes to avoid questions from reporters about FBI Director James Comeys firing, the paper has once again had to admit that they published fake news.
In an article titled After Trump fired Comey, White House staff scrambled to explain why by Jenna Johnson, she made the spectacular claim that Spicer had actually hid in bushes to avoid questions from the Washington elite media.
After Spicer spent several minutes hidden in the bushes near these sets, Janet Montesi, an executive assistant in the press office, emerged and told reporters that Spicer would answer some questions, as long as he was not filmed doing so. Spicer then emerged, Johnson wrote.
The claim went rapidly viral, the latest bit of gossip to paint the White House as being run by a bunch of hapless nitwits.
...
EDITORS NOTE: This story has been updated to more precisely describe White House press secretary Sean Spicers location late Tuesday night in the minutes before he briefed reporters. Spicer huddled with his staff among bushes near television sets on the White House grounds, not in the bushes, as the story originally stated.
Essentially, Spicer was standing outside.
The countless articles and viral tweets citing Johnson have not all been updated, however and this is how fake news is born.

Just another day at the Big Lie Factory.
The story sounds like something that was planted by 4chan or /pol/ to make the media look foolish...
The media and the Democrat Party continue to self destruction!,,
The news media have shown themselves to be everything and even more than Trump accused them of being.
I bet the story gets nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
Even after it’s proven to be false.
I also noticed WP and NYT stories about Comey were like this. The reporter tells a story with no source, then anonymous people who are “familiar” with something are the source of more story by the reporter - with only a single word from the anonymous source in quotes.
Well, he has reserves a weekend once a month and 10 days once a year and he's at his 10 day gig.
In the bushes sounded better than serving our country.
The Snark is strong in this one.
A recent observation by Rush Limbaugh re vicious fake news/propaganda to force Trump out of office!
As you read, or any time you see anonymous source said, you must disbelieve it. The evidence is much greater and much of this is made up than that it is legitimate and real. You must remember that media isnt media. You are not reading the news. You are being inculcated. Youre being propagandized. You are being misinformed for the purposes of advancing a narrative and agenda, which is to force Donald Trump out of office. The news about this investigation today is wonderful.

"He gestured at him." Becomes "He touched him." Becomes "He hit him." Becomes "He punched him." And so on after being retold.
With the MSM, there are no 3rd-hand accounts to misconstrue accounts of an incident. If a White House staffer gestures at someone it is instantly reported as
"He punched him."!
The MSM is evil, lies immediately and constantly, and blatantly creates fake accounts of incidents.
Right. New law needed.
If a “news” article cites anonymous sources, it must announce that fact in the article’s title.
The Media Party entity the WP must have been slapping it’s sides flashing back on, “Keep out of The Bushes”.
Gack!
Today we have the (M) (D) and (R) parties...

The Washington Compost is in a Meltdown Crisis over Comey Firing - Part 2 Day 2
Is there any doubt that the whole organization is psychotic?
Has the WaPo had its press credentials pulled yet? Until that happens, the white house is enabling the fake news.
When will truth and journalistic accuracy become important enough that the media liars will be punished for failing to tell it?
You posted, “If a news article cites anonymous sources or no sources, it must announce that fact in the articles title.”
Maybe that could become a reality with Free Republic.
Anyone posting a so called news item based on anonymous sources or no sources, fake news should/must be in (parens) after the title.
Then, maybe we could have a Fake news sections, New Fake News and a Breaking Fake News sections.
“The story sounds like something that was planted by 4chan or /pol/ to make the media look foolish...”
The mediots do a great job, 24/7, looking foolish without any help.
