Are you into lifting weights? Then picking up a 200 pound person is no problem right?, But what if this person was unconscious? Now were talking dead weight which is totally different. Due to the awkward distribution of weight and flexible nature of the human body, it's nothing like dead lifting barbells in a gym.
There have been methods that was developed to rectify this challenge. However, none have come close to being effective as this Ranger Roll method by Wil Willis.
Wil Willis is a former Ranger and Pararescue specialized in tactical trauma emergency care. Wil came up with this quick method which uses momentum to roll the body onto his shoulders.
You can see the instruction here and some bad ass skills. Though the video is 7 minutes long, it is quite informative for an EMT trauma specialist that has to move a body quickly.
The downside to this method maybe that the person needs to be in average to good conditioning. The skill does require some practice to fully understand using momentum combine with good body technique. See the Ranger Roll footage here

Should show this video to college snowflakes protesting hate speech.
These levels of testosterone-fueled badass-ness may be lethal to pajama boy types.

Wil came up with this quick method which uses momentum to roll the body onto his shoulders. Yet the video and the article's own transcript says:
"This is a technique I learned from when I was in the ranger battalion, I didnt magically come up with this, ok, and if you dont practice it, its not a viable thing for you."
BTW, I only know Will Willis as the host of Forged in Fire, I didn't know he was also an instructor, former Ranger, and former Pararescue Jumper.

Looks like a good technique, but the instructor has a man bun.

I helped a lady up the other day along with a female nurse. The lady weighed about 250 lbs. with a body shape liked a tootsie roll pop - all on the top. It was very hard to get her up since she could contribute almost nothing to the effort. After a rest she took off again with a cane, though she needed a walker.

It should be standard training for infantry, eh? and for the Corpsman. Hugs to son when you get to see him. What unit? (mine has been out since end of 2014 but I just can’t stop keeping up with news. DVIDS is a great place for pix)
