Interesting statistics on marriage in America:

70% of men aged 20-34 are unmarried. The word is out on marriage and the younger men have heard it.

My college GF just married her HS boyfriend. He is her 4th husband.
The only people I know that are getting married are churched people.

wonder where all the compatible women went? Out the door with the Biblical view of marriage, women respect your husband and SUBMIT, men love your wives as Christ loves the church. NO divorce. It should be illegal except for adultery, but the justice system is corrupt. There are lawyers who fight for men in court.

I can’t wait for the millenial kingdom when “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each man with his staff in his hand because of age. 5 And the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.’”

Sounds wonderful, eh?

He does straighten things out when a nation does the things He hates, but He does it in His own time. I just remembered an old book I have somewhere titled “Why Men Don’t Go To Church” and it was written in the 1890’s I think. I wonder if revivals start with MEN returning to God. I’ll have to put that on my list to research. :)

“Men age like wine, women age like milk”

BWAHAHAHA!!!!!

I find it amusing when an older woman who is a 5 or a 6 acts like she’s an 8, and expects she can get a guy who is an 8/9 and has lots of money.

Likewise, the men who are 2-3 think they deserve a Melania Trump as a trophy wife.

And EXPECT it and can't figure out why the woman isn't interested.

hmmm. Men are from Mars and women are from Venus. I think another problem today is that we have lost that awesome team appreciation of our differences and more importantly, the support from same-sex friends in staying in our marriages. Without God, there will be discussions among men degrading women and among women degrading men, as opposed to appreciating our differences. There is only one head coach and God should be the owner of the team, but it’s still a team. The quarterback does get to make calls.

By the way, the above view is philosophy only, I suck at relationships beyond friendship.

I have a degree in an engineering field, so I'm one of a decreasing number of men who will likely be earning a decently substantial salary by my mid thirties or so if I play my cards right.

Unfortunately being in STEM you have been targeted to be replace by a H-1B visa holder at some point. The whole H-1B visa program is designed to keep you in check economically. I am an engineer also. The wages you start at will probably be the same as you make 10 years form now adjusted for inflation. Then again you may get lucky and not experience the joy of being replaced by a Pakistani making 2/3 your salary. The joy of having a mortgage, small children and telling your wife you've been laid off. Such fun. I remember the rush of happiness in her face when I told her. That is when my marriage really took a hit. Thanks globalism.

I'll bet she thrived to 81. How many descendants does she have?

No, she did not thrive.

I never added up the number of cousins I had and how many children they had.

My parents were both change of life babies and I don't remember my grandparents very well.

But based on what an abusive man my mom told me her dad was, NOBODY in that family thrived.

How my mom came out so well adjusted is beyond me.

Anyway, what little I remember of my grandmother was not a woman who had thrived but one who had endured.

I’m only half way reading the posts but you know what? It’s all Satan trying to destroy the image of God in us in marriage. Notice that God the Father has male characteristics and the Holy Spirit female.

Anyway, it started in the Garden.

You are blessed! This thread made me think we need to have a promotional book or how about a tv series about those who have great marriages. Different couples every week, humor (you know they would have great stories), trials, blessings, etc. CBN should do it.

For sure it’s a Satanic attack on the family. If women are told their husbands are terrible, non-stop belittling and criticizing of men in the MSM (commercials, movies, TV), and divorce is an easy solution, the families will be destroyed. If you destroy the nation at the most basic building block, you create chaos.

Look at the black communities. Marriage is penalized and discouraged. So we have a generation of bastard children. Women are kept on the government payola for votes Welfare programs. Men are replaced by foreign workers and have no father figure. They commit crimes, wind up in jail or dead early. That’s exactly what liberals want for the entire country: a dependent, ignorant class of bastards easy to manipulate and into blaming “the 1%” for all their problems.

wonder where all the compatible women went? Out the door with the Biblical view of marriage, women respect your husband and SUBMIT, men love your wives as Christ loves the church.

And it seems that most men want the *wives submit to your husbands* part but not the *love your wife as Christ loves the church* part.

A good marriage should not be one where the woman is simply grateful that he doesn't drink away the paycheck, chase other women, or beat her or the kids.

That's setting the bar pretty low.

However, loving your wife as Christ loved the church does not mean catering to her every whim and giving her everything she demands.

This Red Pill/MGTOW stuff is to men what feminism is to women.

Feminism arose from women who initially had enough of being treated like property and did not have their own right to own property or vote or be treated as EQUALS in society. But as with anything, it went over board into doing to men what they condemned the men for doing to them.

Reading up on MGTOW, and the Red Pill, is the EXACT same thing. A reaction to the inequity in society in the way men and women treat each other. Men are saying *Enough* to women's abuse of them just as women said *Enough* to men's abuse of them.

But it's interesting how when women do it, it's feminism and evil and destroying (fill in the blank) but when men do it, it's justified.

In reality, it's the same kind of movement borne of the same kinds of circumstances and situations. It's push back.

And as far as blaming all the women for this, that itself is a problem because it removes all the responsibility from men who allowed the situation to develop and perpetuate. It makes them helpless victims who can't stand up for themselves, and no woman is going to respect a man who doesn't have enough self-respect himself to act like a man but whine about hose it's everyone else's fault.

There's an excellent marriage series which may still be available somewhere online, called *How to have an emotionally healthy marriage* by Jimmy Evans and the long and short of it is to become an emotionally healthy adult.

Basically, take responsibility for your own actions.

No, invasion and conquest is a Biblical consequence of nationally legalized child sacrifice that God does not forgive. He allows a reprieve with repentance, but it does come.

Mr. mm, in a STEM field, got let go from his job last fall and after looking as a few job prospects, decided to do what he always talked about doing when he *retired*.

He started his own consulting business.

His getting let go was the best thing that happened to our marriage. That job was consuming his life and since he was on call, we could not make ANY plans without being able to count on the phone ringing with a problem he had to go in and fix. And ring it did.

And yet, he would not quit and find something else. They *needed* him.

Well so did I and yet I was the one who took second place. ALL. THE. TIME.

And so the company he felt he couldn’t say *No* to, gave him the axe with no warning whatsoever.

And the new business is working out well and he’s FAR happier than when he was employed.

Losing a job is not the end all and should not result in a marriage taking a hit. The wife should be there to support her husband through it because it’s not their situation forever.

LOL but hey, Sarah called Abraham, “Master” and their family tree eventually bore the fruit of the Son of God.

Hmmm. I’m going to have to think about women needing men more than men need women. Weaker vessel and all, right? Then Paul said when we are weak, then we are strong. So, because women are weaker, that is probably why more women still go to church, realizing that they need God more than men. What brings men to God? Moses had to be in the desert. Paul had to be blind for a bit and scared witless. More research. :)

Christ gave His life for the church. No greater love than that.
