Men not marrying? How deep does "the problem" go?

In todays world , unless a man wants a family, there’s really no reason for marriage. And really he can have a family and still not marry.

Women, on the other hand, have learned from their mothers, believe they must create their own security. So even they have no reason to marry ...

So here we are a nation of singles jumping from one relationship to another and simply enjoying them while they last..until the next one.

However I do wonder at what point they will arrive where it will be the last relationship ...or.....the pickings get so few there are none left to chose from.

In my younger days, I had an offer like that. Thank heavens I had the sense not to take them up on that offer.

The sexual revolution was more of a benefit to womens sexual strategy than mens. It allowed for unbridled hypergamy to take place. No fault divorce reinforces hypergamy.

Look at what has been put in place and tell me there are no strings attached to having sex with women. There are more strings that the violin section of the Philharmonic. And they are all set up in favor of the woman.

Unilateral control over whether a kid is born or not. Unilateral control over false rape accusations that are really just regret and blaming the guy for her being at the most sexually aroused part of her cycle.

If you did that the woman would probably try to get you arrested for rape. Saying she let you sleep with her only for a baby. Since you are infertile, that makes it rape.

Feminists know women’s sexual power is in denying access. That’s why the ‘Campus Rape Crisis’ was created. It’s an attempt to create a taboo to sex via risk of rape accusations. The entire system of Star Chamber Title IX ‘man = guilty’ trials they hold shows it’s political. A drunk woman has sex with a drunk man and he’s guilty of rape.

The goal is to perpetuate the all sex = rape. The details as to how the rape occurs is secondary to the politics.

There was a man convicted of rape in Europe because the condom came off during sex.

They’d most likely use a turkey baster. Lesbians are usually victims of child sexual abuse. They don’t want men because they view men as sexual abusers. Otherwise, Darwinism in action would breed out homosexuality. Homosexuality can’t exist absent creation of the next generation via sex abuse.

That IS the truth Windflier...to be sure.

I recall when I was a homemaker and loved my job....after loosing my husband after 20 yrs it was a jolt to go into the working “class” world. That in itself either toughens up a women or it eats you alive. I had more than my share of nibbles working in the sales field!

But I discovered that somehow when men get home from work they can turn work off....where when a women gets home she simply sees another job to do. A women has to find a balance in this....

It was not long for me to discover the best balance for my life was part-time work, so I worked hard to position myself so I could do that with enough income to support myself. But it took a few years of the 9-5’s to get there.

I also think it depends on the $$$ one wants to make...I chose to have a leaner income because I valued my time. But I have noted today men do look at women now as income and judge accordingly.

Well, yes, the man hating feminists do use this to push this part of the agenda.

But its a bigger agenda than just that.

They keep perpetuating the idea that a womans sexual strategy (ie hypergamy) is always superior and better than a man’s. And they have cemented this belief into society even further through radical feminism. The traditional view already pushes this theme anyway, but via feminism it removes the restraints off hypergamy so that women can practice their sexual strategy totally without any restrictions from men, while at the same time binding mens sexual strategy up even more.

Well in a lot of cases they are correct, it is a zero sum game.

The feminists and even traditional women insticntively know this.

For one gender’s sexual strategy to succeed, the other gender must compromise or abandon its own.

And the women have been doing this very well for a very long time. Feminism really pitched it their way quite a bit further than it already was.

In the past a lot of guys did not marry because they couldn’t support a family (again, a nod to hypergamy and how it benefits women at the expense of men). Or were not from the right background. Or died early from illness, wars and/or work.

The ‘natural state’ is alpha male with many female partners. The alpha lion breeds and the rest don’t.

We’re seeing that now with successful men divorcing wife 1 and getting the younger wife 2. Or just side action being readily available (sugar daddy).

The scary thing is the younger generations. They’re a Tinder swipe away from a sex partner. Men are now in a continued adolescence until early 30s (video games, hopping from job to job, sex drive fulfilled through one night stands or porn).

If we don’t replace the previous generation, we’ll be forced to bring in migrants. We’ve done it here with Hispanics and Europe is doing it with Muslims. Basically, the West is in a slow suicide death spiral - all thanks to feminism.

The feminists will jump all over you and the men are looking for women as revenue producers...so we are most definitely “marginalized”...

I don't think most men want a wife who will literally wait on them hand and foot, but they wants to feel valued and appreciated and thanked as their provider and protector, by a wife who he can appreciate as kind, sweet and caring...Doesn't mean she has to be an uneducated kitchen-dweller by any stretch, or even that she has to make less than him or not have a career, but nothing will keep a man on the straight and narrow like a sweet, appreciative wife. And when he instead gets nagged to death by a wife who is more a provider than he can be, things go south. The problem that men are perceiving is that women these days are encouraged to be ball-busters. And women can somewhat back up their ball-busting with substance as they are now, in ever increasing numbers, more economically successful than men. Nothing hurts a man, whether he fully realizes it or not, and brings him to his worst more than being cut out of his natural, God-given role as provider and protector. So they simply become listless, selfish, porn-consuming man-children or angry manemists. The evil one always seeks to invert God's good creation.

I'm a man in my early twenties. I have a degree in an engineering field, so I'm one of a decreasing number of men who will likely be earning a decently substantial salary by my mid thirties or so if I play my cards right. I do want to have and raise a family. But I can say definitively that experience in college with the godlessness of young people was very discouraging, my experience with the godlessness of many, many young people even in supposedly Christian circles is discouraging, and the stories on this thread are discouraging. I'm not trying to set myself up as superior to others by any stretch, I'm as sinful and flawed as anyone for sure, but what I want -- a marriage in which divorce is simply not an option, period, in which as many children as God sends are welcomed (and then home-schooled so they aren't totally ignorant), in which both spouses want to give themselves totally to maintaining a godly household, just isn't what the vast majority of people seem to want. Of course, there needs to be some mutual attraction and commonality of general interests as well, and finding that combined with the above qualities of what I consider a good marriage feels like looking for a four-leaf clover.

I am smiling at your post as I recall a young man years ago who could have written this as well. He prayed daily for the women he would one day marry, even before meeting her. For her protection, for wisdom and all which he believed she would need until God brought her into his path.

Of course that did happen, (they both voluntered for a church camp for kids), and no it wasn’t love at first sight....but the environment they were in was conducive to get to know each other just for the work they each did there. He liked her, she liked him....and you can guess how the story went from there.

Today he has family with three children, a happy home and they could not be happier.

God knows where she is...so you keep looking where good women may be found and he will arrange the meeting.
