If someone here told me the paid money to beat the #### out of an effigy of their wife, friend, even boss, I’d refer them to the nearest psychiatric ward.

A person is free to vote and express their political views either for or against a political opponent or public servant. Threaten their life publicly, however, and you’ve taken that jump. There’s no gray area.

If conservatives had been doing this sort of thing during the Obama years, the MSM would have been sounding the alarm about the rise of “hate” and “disrespect” and “un-Americanism.” It would have been “a disturbing trend, pointing to a deep reservoir of racism, division, disrespect, and anger still lurking in some parts of America.”
