Michaella Surat, 22, said she was left 'humiliated' when Fort Collins police officers violently threw her to the ground outside Bondi Beach Bar on April 6. 'All the bones were shattered in my face. I was just so humiliated because people were watching me.
the whole hair argument is a CUSTOM issue- what are the customs of hte day- back in that day the jews and greeks wore their hair short- most of the other cultures wore their hair long- Paul would not have given the same advice to them as he did to the greeks and jews- it is also known that the greeks ‘short hair’ was actually longer than men cut their hair today- so what would the actual ‘short hair’ standard be today IF Paul actually meant for all men everywhere to abide by the specific customs of two cultures of that day? Many Christians think that ‘women aren’t to wear men’s clothes’ means women shouldn’t wear pants- but the fact is back in Jesus’s day EVERYONE wore robes- when exactly did pants become gender specific? They weren’t even invented yet=- Women in china were required to wear pants long before men were permitted to-
The3 bible gives many CUSTOM SPECIFIC advices- many of which legalists take and run with even today- Customs change- and m ost customs are not black and white- while some- like a society deviating off into homosexuality- is black and white and NOT simply custom specific- so those who use the excuse that ‘Well would a custom that dictated homosexuality was ok be acceptable then?” is a bogus argument-
Back in the day- in greek and jewish cultures- long hair was associated with paganistic rituals and homosexual prostitution- A homosexual walking into a jewish town would seek out men with long hair kept pretty by the owner as advertisement that he was a homosexual prostitute or a pagan- that is no longer the case today-
Again, since other cultures wore their hairl ong, the same ‘advertising’ by homos and pagans was not present in those cultures so there woudl have been no need to give such advice in those cultures- Everyone had long hair, so it wasn’t considered a shame like in jewish cultures where only the prostitute men had long hair which they kept in a feminine style to entice other men to sin with them-
No one ever mistakes me for a fag or a prostitute out in the meat world. Nor does anyone say anything rude or try to intimidate me. Don’t know why. LOL
lol me either-
Thank you for your respectful thoughts on the matter. Sincerely.
Totally uncalled for.
Oh my, so emotional.
It’s my thread and you came to visit me remember? I’m supposed to be here. LOL
If you’re unhappy then go ahead and leave. No hard feelings. Have a good night.
That's lame, and maybe some projection on your part, too?
Your new name:
You have no more place here than I do.
If I want Bible studies I’ll ask one of the many solid, mature Christians here not an immature, disrespectful jerk like you. Only a fool would come to you for spiritual guidance.
Proverbs 15:12
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
It appears that you have much practice with children. 😀
I do not think it is so much “need” as force of habit. When they train take downs, the police often use each other as practice dummies. So his body, his muscle memory, is set for another 180 lb man. It is very hard to roll back muscle memory.
I am of the opinion that he should have first escalated to a wrist lock and joint manipulation to gain compliance.
How do you come with this goofy idea that tying one’s self up wrist locking one member of a crowd is viable when you don’t know what the rest will do?
There were other officers at the scene. The “normal” mode is for one to deal with the drunk, one to keep the crowd away. If you watch the end of the video, one guy moves in and a security / LEO pushes him away.
I would have tried a wrist lock first, moving the girl to the nearby vertical post and then proceeded with hands behind the back and cuffs.
“The drunk”
You are never going to redeem the idiocy you have spewed on this thread until you are mentally capable of comprehending that there never was a “the drunk”. There was a group of drunks and they were fighting
That is why the bar called the police rather than just having the bouncer take care of it.
Though the camera angle on the edited video doesn't show it, this drunken dingbat was just part of the herd.
But the camera didn't show the whole story and that is why things did not go well for her in court.
You seem to think that you are debating well and not looking foolish. For the whole not looking foolish idea to become at least a vague possibility you will have to learn to use plurals. “Drunks.” say it with me now “drunks.”
Well you are entitled to your opinion.
I used “the drunk” instead of saying “the lady” because she was not acting like a lady. So where you said “drunken dingbat” I just simplified to “the drunk”.
You seem to ignore or at least failed to address, the central point of my response. There were other security / LEO at the scene to handle the other “drunks”. This is normal LEO tactics. Use one officer to address the one being belligerent, use the additional officers for crowd control.
Having none of my own it must be 17 years of FReeping! ;-)
In spite of what some here think that contusion on her chin looked to be extreme. I have no doubt that she's feeling numbness in her jaw and neck having taken the entire weight of the fall on just her chin. I can almost guarantee she will have cervical neck pain down the road that will last all her life.
Basing everything you're saying on what can't be seen certainly doesn't sound foolish. LOL
There ya go. 😀
