Stay Healthy: Start Juicing

I’ve run thorough all the important news: one of those days calvin

Screen Capture #342

Over a six-year period, Ivy League schools have received tens of billions in tax dollars, bringing in more money from taxpayers than from undergraduate student tuition. In fact, they received more federal cash than 16 state governments.

In order to provide critical research like a Wikipedia gender bias study,

provide safe spaces for snowflakes upset over the Trump win,

not my president resistance

and provide sanctuary campuses for illegals. Because, you know - no borders.

But I can’t really muster any interest in any of those stories today so I think I’ll take the day off and go work out at the gym. They have a great juice bar. And I suddenly feel the urge to get juiced.

lady at the gymDon’t worry, I won’t over do it.

I’ll juice mine.

Funny.

Juicing (the kind that uses fruits and veggies) seems like a fad to me.

Eating a healthy diet just isn’t that complicated, although it does take a bit of planning.

Oh baby, you know what I like.

What about the food industry poisoning us so's the doctors can tell us they cant do anything for us? We are the smartest, richest, sickest and most gullible people on the planet.

This one reminds me about the man made global warming scam.

It is amazing that anyone with an IQ much above dirt would believe anything Al Gore and/or Hussein Obama says.

Well, yes, it is a fad, I suppose. However, this fad has lasted at least 30 years so far. How long does it take a fad to grow up?

Difficult to say. Some people actually still think that serious forms of expression include rap.

My aunt was sold a Jack Lalane juicer back in 1964 (hardly used it, lived to 95). People then were actually juicing fresh grass clippings for the chlorophyll. The juice fad goes way back.

For me, there’s nothing like juicing whole limes for daiquiris (using our 50 hp Vitamix). And shedding the blood of the grape is a daily ritual.

2 things: It is a fad (unhealthful at that for reasons Im not elaborating) and for many eating healthy in this culture is not only difficult, but complicated by the fact that medicine continually- fails to address the gut.

Worse, good health for many does not necessarily equate “healthy -eating.” I was eating clean and saw a severe health decline not described in medical literature and I reversed a condition for which there is neither a medical name nor help in framing a treatment.

I’ve been there. A fairly large segment of the sickly population wants to do better but their gut tells their brain otherwise. It’s more than just a choice or willpower for many and the desperation of those on this roller coaster is what leads to these well-marketed fads.

Dont dismiss the difficulty others have once they’ve descended into that state, as there is no comprehending it unless you’ve been there. I have and I’m writing a book about how to do it.

Love the post, but a bit early to “juice”...

I may understand gut problems better than you think.

The act of chewing is actually good for you for a number of reasons. That is just one reason why over reliance on juicing is not a healthy habit.

Can you tell me if a Vitamix is really that much better than a cheaper, good, blender?

Alternate-day fasting made all the difference for me; chronic-constipation gone, acid-reflux gone, COPD gone, and a bunch of other things.

I was kidding about a 50 hp Vitamix but it is far more powerful than a typical blender. The one I bought for my wife is built like a tank and smashes ice better than anything. We got rid of our blender.

Then your comment was oversimplified, as eating healthy does not automatically bestow good health on someone with impaired gut and does, in fact - for those desperate enough to try every fad that comes down the pike - become complicated for those folks.
