With importance comes responsibility to use it honestly and wisely.
Think about this: The media are guaranteed by the Constitution the right to do what they do freely. The president of the United States is a creation of the Constitution. Both are extremely important.
The Fourth Estate is the FIFTH COLUMN in this country!!! They ARE the enemy of decent Americans!
and who decides which is which????
in any case, I’m no longer so sure about the other media anymore, either.
the world turned upside-down in all its glory/etc.
Gunny G @ Planet WTF!
Semper President TRUMP!
Remember To Laugh!

'Enemy of the people' is a Stalinist phrase: just what the media needs to continue the 'Russians did it' meme.
Never forget how hellbent they were to see Hillary in the White house. THE most corrupt politician in US history bar none, and they were hellbent to make her President. Of COURSE this media is the enemy of the people! Just thank God the people were smart enough not to fall for their BS.
And they continue to prove it - McPain doesn’t realize that attacking the media isn’t the way for despots to rise, it’s using the media to spread political lies and propaganda. In this case, the media considers it their sworn duty to do so without being coerced by would be despots that comprise the Left (RINOs included)..
The media are the generals of the resistance and need to be taken out by any means whatsoever! They are the enemy of the American people and are poisoning our way of life by forcing our nation to live in a media induced dictatorship! The mediapukes want their communist socialist way or no way at all! They don’t even try to hide their media bias agenda anymore!..they have exposed themselves as enemies of America and must be removed! They have no fear of the American people because we have always let them get away with literally destroying lives and character assassinations! Again I repeat they are the generals that need to be snuffed out! My hometown news at the half hour break just announced the Time and place where to meet for today’s protest....I kid you not... FREAKIN UNREAL!!!!!! Don’t tell me to call the station I’ve done that before they do not listen ....Now you tell me who is giving out their marching orders?.... the media generals!!! they need be STOPPED!!!!!We must strike back! I’m so angry I am spitting nails!
I for one, am getting tired of being reminded that others in the past have used this or that phrase for their movement. One can’t be held responsible for continuously crafting new slogans. After all, “enemy of the American People” is straight forward and clear. Trump gets his point across. He could have added that he means it differently than past users of the slogan, or he could have said that the slogan only applies to specific media.
Anyone who is with Trump understands that he is not going to ditch the media or the first amendment. Anyone who is opposed to him will go there (off the rail) with anything he says that can be twisted or misunderstood. So there it is, Trump will get slammed no matter how well crafted his slogan, and guys in the establishment will pick at every word or punctuation mark to claim the academic high ground.
Rush said it right, get on with the agenda, whip Congress into passing a few bills. And don’t worry about what Stalin said back then.
'Enemy of the people' is a Stalinist phrase: just what the media needs to continue the 'Russians did it' meme.
SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher. Thus, whenever anyone uses the term society, or public or any other synonym including the people, you must consider the possibility (in a liberals mouth the near-certainty) that the word or expression is being used as a euphemism for government.Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil - Thomas Paine, Common Sense (1776)
Notwithstanding that Mr. Trump has a history of being a registered Democrat, in office the president has clearly demonstrated that he is not a liberal. Presumptively, then, in Mr. Trumps mouth society would mean society, and the people actually means the people.
Any claim to the contrary would require evidence.
Correct. As with every word out of his mouth, McCain is wrong about despotism. It is with the support of media that despots come to power. We saw this most vividly portrayed with the ascendancy of Obama and the near miss of Hillary.
When the media becomes politicized it typically supports tyranny that is consistent with its political ambitions. Our MSM today is a fifth column. It seeths with hatred, calumny, deception, fraud, and malice.
