Not true. Why? Liberals do not like atheists, because they do not embrace, but reject the idea that even government can be ‘god’.

I'm sure this is true; atheists like to swagger about pretending that "reason" or "science" answers all questions. But "science," per se, has nothing to say about right and wrong. The usual default position of atheists is moral relativism, with an understanding of "right" and "wrong" as merely culturally determined. As a practical matter, atheist ethics seem to boil down mostly to rationalization of personal desires.

I have no respect for atheists, but that blanket statement is wrong. Just as normal people tolerate them, they tolerate us. I don't believe they want to phase us out.
That’s why they are part of the faith based religion of evolution. Evolution gives them the hope that they can escape judgment...so as you say they can do as they please without consequences.
That might be right about a small percentage of them but I have listened to them for years and most of them steadfastly maintain that religion is the cause for everything that ills the world.
