The runway debut of the 'hot felon' and Madonnas late arrival were only part of the reason that The Phillip Plein show at New York Fashion Week was chaotic. It seems that the appearance of US President Donald Trumps daughter Tiffany Trump had fashion editors fleeing from the front row.
Tiffany, 23, had already made an appearance at Taoray Wangs runway show with her mother Marla Maples, the second wife of the POTUS, but turning up among the A-list crowd at Phillip Plein was a more complicated manoeuvre.
"Seating sh*t show at Philipp Plein because no editors want to sit near Tiffany Trump. SHOCKER," Alyssa Klein, editor of Fashionista.com tweeted.
Joining the chorus of disapproval was Nikki Ogunnaike, fashion editor at Elle.com.
"We moved and are down the hall. Come thru," Nikki replied. "Phillip Plein at 10PM: 1 hour late start, editors fleeing just so they don't have to sit behind Tiffany Trump," Nikki tweeted moments later.
Wall Street Journal fashion writer Christina Binkley posted an image of a solitary Tiffany in the front row to reinforce the claims with the caption, Empty seats next to Tiffany Trump.
Before the delayed show time, thanks to Madonnas late arrival, the seats filled up with self-described Rich Kid of Instagram Andrew Warren positioned next to his BFF Tiffany. Andrew later defended Tiffany on social media saying that the seats were reserved for Phillip Pleins family.
The mood was friendlier at the runway show by furrier Dennis Basso (Madonna was not there) on Tuesday afternoon where Tiffany sat front row and was even greeted by the 67-year-old designer at the finale.
"Ive known the family for 35 years," Dennis told The Daily Beast. "Theyre lovely people. Theyre a very fun, close-knit family."
Tiffanys fashion dramas follow the snubbing of her stepsister Ivankas fashion line by US department stores Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Both stores said that the move was due to declining interest with The Wall Street Journal reporting a 32 per cent drop in sales during the past fiscal year.
imagine if we did the stuff libtards are dong to trump and kin, to obama.
we didnt and we still were called racist and islamophobic and homophobic.
She didn’t cause a chaos. It was the assholes who acted stupidly who did.
What the hell is wrong with those people? Seriously, they are crazed.
These fashion people are all a bunch of teenage girls, even the men.
This is the Literal Equivalent of not letting someone sit with you at the lunch table because they aren’t in your Cool Clique anymore!
Step-sister? Check again...half-sister!
Petty little problems from petty little people.
Most of the reporters just following the crowd, afraid to even begin thinking for themselves, that, or this rude and catty elitism is the attitude of their bosses.
Because liberals truly are mentally ill pieces of crap
Ivanka is her half sister, not her stepsister.
This means just one thing. The Fashion Show Commission on Hurt Feelings needs to conduct an investigation on Tiffany Trump.
The Left is a vicious and quite ugly party of thugs.
The Democrat Thug Party.
What if they treated Obama’s daughters like this?!!!?!
Oh never mind....
That’s just how those people are. Same sort of s**t happens at events at the Metropolitan Opera.
Very sad. She’s only a few years older than the Obama daughter. Yet that one is feted everywhere she twerks and tokes. Poor Tiffany, the daughter of a President the media cannot bring themselves to treat with any dignity or kindness.
What kind of country do we even have?
More pathetic behavior on the part of believe this. The arrogance, the hubris. So reminiscent of the so-called president before Trump.
On the part of elitists....
The fascists are afraid of one another.
They can’t get branded as not fascist enough.
I’ll sit next to her. In fact she can sit on my lap. Cozy.
