Conservative blogger, Michael Strickland, a former contributor at The Gateway Pundit and Progressives Today, was jailed in Portland, Oregon in July of 2016 after he pulled a gun on a gang of thugs who were going to attack him at a black lives matter protest.
In 2015 Michael was jumped by an anti-gun activist who broke his arm in three places at an anti-Second Amendment event.
Victoria Taft reported on Mr. Strickland’s 21 count felony indictment which you can read in full here.
Strickland, 37, was found guilty of 10 counts of unlawful use of a weapon, 10 counts of menacing and one count of second-degree disorderly conduct.
Here is the video of Michael Strickland pulling out his gun…

PING!
Railroaded by anti-freedom libs.
He probably had reason to be in fear of bodily harm but he should have not stood around and jawed with them; should have left the area. Pulling it to intimidate is not a good idea. I it has to be drawn in self defense it will go band.
Disparity of Force legal precedents should have these charges thrown out.
Can’t find the video of him pulling his sidearm...
Nice comment here, from beneath the article...
“Not surprising, since it happened on the left coast. My suggestion to all the hard working, tax paying people who live in the dung heap west of the Rockies to migrant to more hospitable locations and let the festering liberal land of welfare queens rot on the vine. You’ll be helping to quicken the time [they] they run out of other peoples money to spend and the scum that lives there will devour the lawmakers who created this hell hole.”
This blm garbage would not be happening if not for Obama.
He had to reasonably believe that he was in imminent threat of death or great bodily harm. The test is, would a reasonable person feel that way under the circumstances? It is difficult to determine reasonableness one way or the other without more facts, witnesses, or a video of the crowd in front of him at the time. This is not like a Trayvon or Michael Brown situation. But all self defense situations arent like that either.
He did nothing wrong.
Didn’t consent to being beaten, nothing more.
If he had watched other Trump rallies when protesters attracted Trump supporters, then yes, he was justified.
He had every right to be where he was. What the hell is the matter with you? He had no obligation to withdraw at all. He had every right to stand his ground and prevent the thugs form inflicting bodily harm on him which it is certain they would have done.
Get your ass off this forum with that attitude jackass!
I remember seeing that and thinking that he was screwed. Portland is a fascist wonderland.
The reason we will lose to the leftist fascists is because we will do nothing...
One of the “protesters” was wearing a mask. How was he to know they weren’t going to lynch him? I am not necessarily defending his action of brandishing a weapon.
This is just plain wrong. Then again look where it happened, one of the cesspools of Marxist liberalism, a hot spot for the criminally insane left. He had every reason to believe they were going to do him bodily harm and an honest jury and judge will see it that way. Not sure there are any honest judges left in the 3 west coast states and no telling if he will get one of the 10 conservatives still living in Portland. The smart ones left long ago.
He didn’t fire the gun and he backed away the entire time until he felt safe enough. He should win this but again; look where it’s at.
he was attacked a different event and had his arm broken in 3 places.
The jury had to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Based on just this video it is impossible to know if he was justified or not. We just don’t know how threatening toward him that the crowd actually was IMHO.
