Though I was never involved in scouting, I've always been an enthusiastic outdoorsman and greatly respected the mission of the Boy Scouts. That respect was waning years ago, and is now completely gone. I have three boys and would NEVER allow them to participate in an organization so "Physically Ignorant, Mentally Lazy, and Morally Lost."

Most homosexuals were sexually abused as children.
They want to normalize the behavior to ensure better access to YOUR children.
Scouts provide a pretty good opportunity for that. And getting easier it seems. Tragic.
Once you cave, there is no bottom.
I was a significant contributor to the BSA several years ago but stopped when they allowed gays in the ranks. I told them why I was stopping and now hope with this, the Southern Baptist Convention will sever all ties with the BSA. They are no longer a Christian based group. How sad.
and now Bruce Jenner can become their den mother

(which is all to say, get your boys OUT of that organization now! and into an alternate boys club or scouting organization that does not promote this sickness or confusion for its boys)
This is very sad.
Boy Scouts did much good.
However, they are a “Progressive” organization. They were a “Private-Public” government partnership, and have been poisoned with the same poison all “Progressive” organizations have been poisoned with.
Yeah, I’m surprised that the SBC has not already severed ties.
I feel fortunate to have been involved in scouting when my son was of the age. I have many fond memories of the time.
didn’t we call them TomBoys growing up. IIRC most could hang with us in sports and, when puberty hit, became quite attractive.
Yes they did, and they were standing strong for a period of time. I’m not sure what happened. Had to be a failure at the top.
Yes, get out now if you haven’t already. I wonder how much their numbers have dropped.
BSA membership is in a dive.... (for obvious reasons)....

So now they’re the GLBTQ Scouts?
My boys won’t be joining. Such a shame.
Stories like this no longer surprise me.
Several articles I've read over the past couple of days have come to a very bitter conclusion:
Conservatism has failed.
How can any other objective assessment be made by any clear thinking person?
Conservatism has failed at every level for 50 years.
And, this appears to me to be more of the “sissifying” of the male population.
Any parent who wants their son in scouting .. better plan on figuring out how to teach your son yourself; since the LEFT has plans for him.
The Boy Scouts are history. They’ll be extinct in a decade.
It is sad that so many boys will not have the same experience I had in Boy Scouts and similarly the wonderful time my son had. BSA is in its final days. Makes me sad.

Trail Life is a newer organization. Basically a spin off of the scouts that started after seeing where scouts is heading. My understanding is its a growing organization.
Nailed it in one! And now those who betrayed every boy in coming generations have served or will serve at the highest level of the US Government.
First up, Robert Gates, former Secretary of Defense for Obama, was the head of BSA when the decision was taken to fold to the gay lobby by allowing gay Scouts. Then came his fellow traveler Rex Tillerson, now about to be the Secretary of State, taking the next step when he was at the head of the BSA by allowing gay Scoutmasters.
All of this was due to pressure from the BSA's significant funding sources, the large corporate donors like Tillerson's XOM. The corporate donors were being pressured by the gay lobby to apply corporate HR rules to the volunteer organizations they chose as supported charities.
And there you have it where nearly 100 years of a successful organization with traditional values plus a strongly favorable Supreme Court ruling on being able to have membership rules was flushed down the crapper to chase after the almighty dollar.
