Ocean Islands Are Not Sinking
Canada Free Press ^ | 01/03/17 | Jack Dini

New research shows the islands are growing, not receding

Once a year or so, journalists from major news outlets travel to the Marshall Islands, a remote chain of volcanic islands and coral atolls in the Pacific Ocean, to report in panicked tones that the island nation is vanishing because of climate change. Their dispatches are often filled with raw emotion and suggest that residents are fleeing atolls swiftly sinking into the sea. No doubt, residents are leaving the Marshall Islands, but it is not because of climate change, reports Bjorn Lomborg. 1

IMO, most people think that modern man is the epitome of advancement, but that is not necessarily the case. IMO man has advanced technologically, and then destroyed or been destroyed only to start over. Indian tales of flying machines and nuclear war, artifacts possibly on other planets or moons of planets are just waiting to be found. Will we think “aliens” visited Mars when we find evidence of visitation, or that Earthlings went there thousands of years ago, then our forebearers civilization was destroyed?

Check out the Willapa bay in WA state. You can see submerged fields and roads underwater from before the ending of the last ice age I am assuming.

Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud

Sea levels began to rise 18k years ago at the end of the last glacial period. They have risen about 135 meters since then which is an average of 7.5 millimeters per year. That is an average of 750 mm per century (29.5 inches) which is far more than the average over the last century.

From 1880 to 2000 sea level rose about 20 cm or just under 8 inches. Far less than the nearly 30 inches per century average over the last 18,000 years.

We must have been on the same ship. Norwegian Cruise Lines - not being a US ship, they have to touch a non-US port before returning to the cruise around the Hawaiian Islands.

My shock on that cruise was when we were 700 miles from land, a USCG helicopter begins flying around the ship! Hey! There’s no land anywhere near here - and we are way beyond the range of that chopper! How did it get here???????

A nearby USCG ship - of course.....

Yep!

11 day cruise for the price of a 7 day. Mrs BN & I rented bicycles and rode out to the villages to learn about their water problems (I teach hand augered wells and DIY PVC hand pumps to villagers)

Great cruise!

I walked about half the atoll - surprised they have any fresh water in the ground at all - where is the water table when 12’ is the highest point on the land?

We were on a 7 day cruise in 2001 I think......

I lived in the Marshal Islands in the 1980’s. Ocean is the same height it was back then. The islands were 6 feet above sea level, still are.

Water table is about 4 to 6 feet down. They said that the water was sweet about half the year, then as the dry season progresses, the water gets more saline.

I have an idea for a small wind-powered pump to flash solar heated brackish water to vapor, then condense it for drinking water.

The physics looks good. Hopefully, the mechanics will work as envisioned.

If you will use google earth and look to the east of Bermuda you will see much more of these lines but in starker relief. What you are seeing is the result of spreading and faulting along the Mid Atlantic ridge which is a spreading center for the earth’s crust. The reason they are not as evident to the West of Bermuda is sediment deposition off the North American Continent.

Super cool! I was concerned with the salinity of the water with the land being so low.

I’m an EE, so your concept sounds totally fantastic! When do you expect to have a prototype working? If the physics work, the mechanicals should be easy. One son an ME, and another Civil with great ME skills & programming skills, another with 4 degrees in Physics, Math, Computer Science & Greek......just missing a ChemE!

That doesn’t explain the hairpin turns, or the fine lines.
I was thinking that the wider lines are areas where the sea floor was deliberately mapped in higher definition, since none of them look natural and they are usually in better focus than the surrounding area.
