Hedge funder manager Paul Singer, once one of Donald Trump's harshest critics, is making up with the president-elect.
Singer attended a fundraising breakfast that Trump held Wednesday at Cipriani in New York, CNBC has learned.
The two are mending fences so thoroughly that sources say Singer is giving a substantial amount of money to Trump's inauguration next month....

Singer is a yuge H1B visa guy. But Trump knows this.
I hope Trump takes the ‘hedge’ off his funds.
There must be a secret language of power plays and protocol that is common in American politics. In other words, Donald could very easily scribble a check out and fund his own inauguration w/o batting an eye. So why doesn’t he just do that?
Maybe he, like many very wealthy, become very creative in learning how to do things without depleting your own personal funds. I doubt very much if Bill Clinton or Obama paid very much toward their inaugurations. Maybe this is supposed to be an early opportunity for Lobby Groups to make themselves known to the victor in the White House.
Washington was probably the last president to pay out of his own pocket. Even the Roosevelts and JFK took donations.
Methinks he would have donated the same amount to Hillary’s inauguration...it was a sunk cost.
In the end, the $B MUST not be at odds with the CinC. That’s not good business.
One of the many pleasures I take from Donald Trump’s win is this, near the top of my list. The thought of all the money, near a billion dollars I think, that the sick minded dems and progressives (regressives is more like it) spent trying to get Hillary elected. That all that money was absolutely and forever lost, down the drain. Wasted. It makes me giddy.
Winners tell jokes, losers say, “Deal!”
Singer is also pro-gay, has a gay son and contributed a lot to gay causes.
