Antarctica Continues to Baffle Alarmists
Canada Free Press ^ | 12/06/16 | Jack Dini

Sea ice in the Antarctic is much less sensitive to the effects of climate change that that of the Arctic

A hundred years of cars, planes, wars, and five billion more polluting people, and there’s nothing to show for it. Old log books kept by Scott and Shackleton show that Antarctic sea ice hasn’t changed much since 1912 reports Joanne Nova.

Experts have been concerned that ice at the South Pole had declined significantly since the 1950s, which they feared was driven by man-made climate change. But new analysis suggests that conditions are now virtually identical to when the Terra Nova and Endurance sailed to the continent in the early 1900s, indicating that declines are part of a natural cycle and not the result of global warming.

Yes, the facts do not support the narrative or computer models. Therefore, the facts require adjustment./s

“Authorities remain baffled...”

As they are about so many things. Blinded by the narrative.

Probably because global warming has raised the melting temperature of ice in that region.

would it have anything to do with their being geographic opposites ? One is mostly water surrounded by land and one is land surrounded by water ?

Trump should send Al Gore on a special mission to Antarctica - to live there permanently until he figures out this problem baffling the alarmists.

I’d say that Truth and Reality “baffle” the ever-”baffled” alarmist idiots. What pathetic dregs...and losers.

In all seriousness you cannot base anything off old log books like that. I don’t for a moment believe in the Climate Change nonsense but this is an absolutely stupid argument to make, those old log books cannot provide any real science.

Antarctica is a land mass. The ground will hold the cold longer than water. It would have to get real hot, for a long time to melt that ice.
