Charles Krauthammer identified the issue of sanctuary cities as a scandal, even before Donald Trump took issue with them, and he said that Democrats would be foolish to defy federal authority to defend them: Sanctuary cities were a scandal before Trump. It’s in defiance of federal authority. Federal authority is legitimate. The people who did this in the past were the racists in the south who defied federal authority on civil rights, so now it’s in the name of something that appears to be humanitarian. It’s something that should not be allowed.
The Democrats have tolerated it, and I think Trump would be within his rights to withhold funds, and he should. And the Democrats are making a big bet, and a mistaken one, if they decide they’re going to defy the federal government and what seems to be common sense: Control your borders.

All his NeoCon friends are fading fast from history.
Causes one to wonder what the politicians in those sanctuary cities are getting and who they are getting it from.
Sounds like some deep investigations into those politicians might be in order — including offshore bank accounts and financial dealings.
Time for him to retire.

The Arizona Law under Jan Brewer was supposed to be illegal, because the feds were in charge. Now sanctuary cities can do what they want.
I remember a guy named Krauthammer. He used to be on one of the Fox News shows. Maybe he still is. What I remember about him is that you could take everything he said about who was going to win the 2016 Presidential election to the bank.
But before banking it you had take his input and multiply it by -1 (or, for the math whiz Freepers, add 180 degrees to it.) The reason for this correction was due to the fact he was almost exactly wrong on all his election pronouncements and predictions.
This is a valuable guy to have around as long as you know the -1 or the 180 degree trick.

I don’t listen to Krauthammer anymore. He outed himself as a global Unipartiest and no longer has even a semi-legitimate claim to be a “conservative”, or even given anyone a claim why anyone should listen to him.
Krauthammer has now been added to my LONG list of talking heads that get DVR-skipped on FNC shows when they start to talk. Such skipping keeps the BP down and not surprisingly makes watching the whole panoply of FNC shows a very rapid exercise, especially since I no longer DVR even half the shows.
The cities will be brave ... until the federal funds run out.

The Rats dream of demographic takeover of this country might go down in flames for a long time, so they are doubling down, with puffery and bluster and Linda Graham.
E-verify reaches across city boundaries. If it is uneconomical to be an illegal in this country, sanctuary cities can’t keep them here. They will leave on their own.
With this sanctuary city stuff the Dems are teeing up a perfect battle for Trump to win in his first 100 days.
Thats why I think its smart of Trump to start of with the obvious criminal element of the illegals here. Sanctuary city wants to keep them? They are aiding and abetting dangerous felons.
