Where there is an ecological niche it will be filled. Where there is a political vacuum, it will be filled. Where an exploit exists it waits, wants, to be filled.

There exists a concentration of wealth. Hundreds of Billions of Dollars at the disposal of an elite group of individuals. Leveraged, by virtue of control over governments and institutions, it translates into the trillions. This is fact.

There exists a concentration of information, which has reached, critical mass (i.e. enough information about enough people such that one can insure control over any one person or group). This is a fact, Trump's win not withstanding.

Combined the concentration of wealth and the concentration of information, with the "will" to control, and you have what I call the "singularity" (global government) though other people define it otherwise. Environmental niche meets exploit.

Trump was, perhaps, nothing but a pause button. Global government, that singularity, is almost, but not quite, an inevitability.

Trump, if you are about the America I grew up with and honor - your first executive exercise of power or legislative mandate- "No person's data is to be kept by any company, governmental agency, or entity for more than a (fill in the blank) without the express consent of the individual". Without this or its equivalent, freedom is just a word, and in reality and in practice, does not/will not exist.

That would be nice, but then all we’ll get is the privacy agreements that we are stuck signing with every company we do business with will force us to agree to let them keep our info or else we don’t get a bank account, a credit card, a household appliance, a car, a loan, a house, etc., etc.

Sorry to be so pessimistic. I’d love to see a law with some teeth in it.

The other thing I have learned about watching even the minions in government operate is that a law preventing someone from looking at private data is almost never enforced. You can be almost 100% sure that if your neighbor or your brother-in-law, or whoever has access to your data, they will check you out.

What has been seen cannot be unseen, what has been said cannot be unsaid, what can be heard cannot be unheard.

The only thing that can be done is to kill the offended, or to kill those that saw, said or heard.

Information gathered by this government will NEVER disappear or be completely controlled. Even if the President himself demand to see the repositories and witness their destruction that data would have already be moved to a safe haven he knows nothing about.

There are two foundations on which this rant stands.
If either of the two is false, then the rant is utter and complete drivel.

Foundational assumption number one: There are no people who know, understand, and will implement the teachings of Sun Tsu, Carl Von Clausewitz, and Alexadre Solzhenitsyn on how to counter this.

Foundational assumption number two: There is no God who decides what will be permitted in his creation.

The cool has said in his heart: “There is no God.”
